Look... no one WANTS to have to retain a lawyer, especially family law. There's no world where a divorce is easy, painless, or quick. If you're going through a divorce, you really do need the best counsel, advice, support and kindness, and that's exactly what you'll get with Kermisch & Paletz. My divorce was handled delicately, deftly, and with heart. I pray I'll never do it again, but should I end up in a situation where I need representation, my first call will be with Lauren, Sarah, and the entire K&P team.

Jorge, Jasmine, and the rest of the team made my divorce process seamless and feasible. I’m military and out of state they were quick with responses, paperwork, filings, and everything included. The level of understanding with the process made everything comfortable and I’d highly recommend this law firm to handle any family law case.

Got an Uncontested Divorce done with them for $12k...Probably could've gotten in done for like $6k if I didn't have them re-do the Paperwork so much.....We never went to Litigation so that saved a boatload of money. They did great work, and they understood the Law well, and gave me great legal advice. 5 Stars!

The worst, Be careful!! I made an agreement with Kermisch to pay my Ex in a divorce, and he totally violated the agreement and took advantage, garnishing my wages and basically lying though omission saying that wasnt talked about so I can still do that ....what? and then not stopping the garnishment and not providing with a fee list, etc. I will have to take him to the board and also to court!

Daniel Paletz and his firm are the reason I have custody of my sons. I went from zero custody to 100% legal and physical custody and it's because of his work, guidance and especially his faith in me. I "hate" having to type these things about my marriage because I never wanted it to turn out this way and I would have done anything to prevent its dissolution. But things were beyond my ability to control or contain them and when the hurricane demolished my life it was Daniel who got me through it. He was not only there for me as my attorney but he also helped me personally. He made all the difference. It was a long, painful and humbling process but he was there throughout from beginning to end and even beyond--he's still the person I would turn to for legal advice now. His knowledge of the law as it pertains to families is encyclopedic, he is very tech savvy, and his office was extremely thorough with all of the paperwork and evidence. I don't want anyone to have to go through anything like what happened in our lives but if you do, if your life implodes, then I would advise you to seek out Daniel Paletz. He didn't pay me to write this; in fact, I paid him. But the result is that I am getting back on my feet and I have 100% custody. It would have been very easy for the result to have been exactly the opposite without him.

I retained Daniel Paletz for my child custody case. He was very polished during my interview of him and definitely knew what to say and how to say it so that I would retain his firm. He told me it would cost $6,000 from retaining him until getting through to our PPA set just two months later. Unbeknownst to me, my ex had significant communications with Mr. Paletz just a few months prior. This created a clear conflict. Based on my communications with Mr. Paletz he told me he would refund my retainer but wanted to know if he should write a letter to the other side to see if he could continue to represent me. I knew that my ex would never agree. Mr. Paletz wrote a three page letter to the other side with wild accusations and a set of facts that were clearly not true based on Mr. Paletz’s own emails and texts. This prompted my ex to file a motion to recuse Mr. Paletz and sanctions against me. I found a new attorney and asked for my refund. I received $800. Literally no other action was taken on the case besides the 3 page letter (which should not have been billed and was) and a continuance of a hearing that was set in August. When I asked for my full refund as promised I was met with vitriol from Mr. Paletz who told me that he would sue me for defamation if I took any other action. Why threaten a client like that? Its terrible. I intend to take this matter to the State Bar. All he had to do was refund my money like he promised.
