Great local attorneys.

The three lawyers who operate this firm are knowledgeable and capable. They have all worked hard for my family and I. They are friendly, honest, hardworking and they sincerely care about you and your case. They are timely in getting back to you and don’t mind answering “silly” questions. I have recommended them multiple times over the many years they have worked with us. I will continue to recommend them and use them if the need arises.

After finding the law office of Burton Richards & Swett on Main Street in Sutter Creek I was immediately impressed by their extremely prompt, ethical and very professional response. The firm has a depth of experience and expertise in many areas of the law which served very useful when I was searching for legal help. I am very happy with my outcome and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking best legal services in Amador County or beyond.

Retaining the services of attorneys is a small community can be an adventure, as you just don't know what you are going to get. With BR&S you get three talented individuals who could work anywhere but choose the Amador County lifestyle over what could be much bigger dollars in the city. I had the pleasure of working with Rod Burton personally and was very pleased with his attention to detail and his overall service level in my moment of need. He really seemed to care and routinely followed up personally when others might have handed me off to their underlings. These are great, salt of the earth guys and I highly recommend them. Between the three of them they cover a lot of bases and their fees are affordable. You get what you pay for and then some.

I have needed to use all three attorneys at brs law. Lucky Me! All three attorneys have assisted in different capacities over the past 5 years. Richard Burton handled the QDRO process once my divorce was final. David Richards assisted me with child custody/support issues. All the while having to deal with my ex spouse who continually lied to all attorneys involved (including his own) and the court. He even dropped off his court ordered payment to brs law's office in pennies. Yes, I said pennies. He dropped off $100 in grocery bags of pennies! This was indeed a "special" case. Thomas Swett assisted with the child custody/support along with David. I am happy to say that although I still deal with a horrible ex, I am lucky to have these guys in my 'court.' Tom also handled all of my real estate issues that no other attorney wanted to touch, nor seemed to have the knowledge to do so. Both real estate issues Tom handled were settled after years of back and forth issues prior to my hiring him. For this, I am the most appreciative. Lawyers cost money. I should know, these past two years have been very expensive. However, you get what you pay for with this law office (service, competence, and results).
