I hired Mr. Arslan to be my attorney and for his presence for my interview for Asylum at uscis. I have to say he definitely knows what he is doing. He was very helpful from the beginning. And even after the interview he was in touch with me regarding how the case could go in either directions and what he could offer as an attorney for his services. I must say if anyone wants to spend money on an attorney and get the best out of them, then I highly recommend Mr. Arslan. He is not just amazing but helpful and very considerate.

I was referred to Arslan by a family friend, and it was honestly the best choice my husband and I made. Arslan provided us the ease to go through our immigration process without worrying on what steps we needed to take next. We consulted his services when my husband and I married, we did a marriage green card for my husband, he was here on DACA but we wanted a more permanent status for him. Arslan broke the process down from our initial phone interview and made it so easy for us. The time frame that Arslan provided was the exact when it came to the process and interview, he is very experienced and answered all the questions we had. Without him, we would have been running around our house like a chicken without a head. Less 7 months after our consultation, my husband has his permanent residence. Thank you Arslan!

Arslan Chaudhary provided excellent counsel for my husband and I as we underwent the immigration process. I am a US citizen marrying a French national, and we sought out an attorney for the process because we knew we didn't want to bring a paperwork headache onto ourselves. Arslan was recommended by a trusted friend in the community, and we could not have been happier with our experience. He listened to us and saw us for who we are and gave us wise advice on the best ways to move forward through the process. We never questioned him and always felt his integrity. I am aware I just used the word integrity referring to an attorney... I don't use it lightly. This guy is legit legit legit. Highly recommended.

Arsalan Chaudhry is one of the best Attorney, who helped me with my naturalization case. I had been cheated in the past with an Immigration attorney, so I called Arsalan Chaudhry about my case. He filed my case in March 2012, and I became US citizen in September 2012. I refered my friend's wife to Arsalan in September 2012, and she became US citizen in Feb. 2013. I appreciate for all his kindness, and I would refer more people to him in future. I will always remeber him. I will pray for his success.

----I may not be the best writer but this is from my heart to any one with an immigration case ----- I was detained and ready to be deported on an immigration arrest warrant because years earlier my immigration court case resulted in a deportation order due to my not having received notice of my hearing date. As I was being held in the detention center my friend introduced me to Mr. Arslan Chaudhary, a very competent and caring immigration attorney. Mr. Chaudhary agreed to take on my case knowing its seriousness. Due to his caring nature, he immediately made a filing with the court to stop my imminent deportation. He then visited me several times at immigration prison and he carefully went through the facts of my case with me. He asked me for the truth. He listened, took notes, and then conclusively and decisively, he wisely and intelligently prepared a Motion to Reopen my case with the Immigration Judge in order to try to set aside my previous deportation order. This is very difficult and impossible situation (As I witnessed many detainees with similar cases of deportation proceedings as mine, getting deported with over 95% deportation rate). Thank God however that, due to a thoughtfully and wisely written motion, my case was reopened and my imminent deportation was stopped. Mr. Arslan Chaudhary is truly a life saver and without his involvement in my case I truly believe I would have been deported as what happened to every one of my detained friends who had different lawyers. He treated me like family member of his own. Mr. Arslan Chaudhary, one shot done right -lawyer!! With the Biggest brains and the Biggest and most caring heart you could ever have on your side. He is my family to me for he resulted me to seeing my kids and wife once again-I could never say enough. Thanks Mr. Arslan Chaudhary and God bless you Can be contacted by e-mail or tel. 323 495 3049 for any one wanting to know more about this recommendation. Thank you so much, Isaac Joel Ngalubutu.

I was referred to Joe by an auto body shop after someone hit my car (I was just sitting in it and was sideswiped). From day one, Joe was calm, collected and very informative on the process and also always concerned asking how I was physically doing as his primary concern was I get the medical help I needed to ensure I was feeling better vs. just trying to settle a claim. He set me up with chiropractic appointments, as well as a spinal doctor to ensure I was being treated comprehensively. The overall process took a little less than a year, but Joe always kept me informed about what was going on with both insurance companies (if there were delays, hiccups, etc.) and eventually received a settlement. He went out of his way to hand-deliver the settlement to ensure I received it, which was very appreciated. I definitely recommend him/his practice if you'd unfortunately need a personal injury lawyer. Thank you, Joe!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tarzana, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
