After losing my job due to covid-19 I had no money coming in and went through my savings quickly. I found my self in serious financial trouble and was freaking out when I called Ivan's office. I spoke with his wife first and told her I was in my 8th week waiting on unemployment to pay me. She immediately sprung into action and that very day my EDD claim went from pending to paid!!! She certainly went above and beyond right off the bat. When I consulted with Ivan he was very calm and took time to explain what we were going to do. I appreciate their gently way of handling someone like me that tends to freak out. I cannot thank them both enough!

Ivan Trahan and his wife Nancy were very understanding and made a tense time in my life a little easier by taking immediate control of my collectors, who were hounding me. Ivan asked me to post a review for him. I don’t usually do that but I felt it was justified. My experience with this firm was excellent. They were competent, knowledgeable, experienced, calm, honest, patient. I was diagnosed with MS during the process and they were kind and helpful. Nancy even gave me information on how to get a guide dog. So I call them five years after we got our discharge with a problem and they helped me. They have all along. I am a single mother. My husband died about ten years ago and I never got married again. With two kids and my mom to take care of, I have always had problems keeping up with bills. When I went to see Mr. Trahan, he told me I could sue the credit card companies that were calling me on my cell and that's what we did. I still have to file bankruptcy because I didn't get that many calls so I didn't get enough money to pay off all of my credit cards, but I got enough to buy a nice used car and to fix all of the broken things in my house that I haven't had the money to fix and I even put some of the money into an IRA. I had seen other lawyers before Mr. Trahan and none of them ever told me about this phone call lawsuit, so I am very grateful to Mr. Trahan and his wife, Nancy, too because they both have helped me a lot and they never made me feel bad about the money problems I had. Mr. Trahan was recommended by a co-worker who was also happy with his services.

I met with Ivan Trahan a year ago, and informed him I was thinking of filing bankruptcy. He took the time to look over my situation and gave me advice on NOT to file bankruptcy at that time, and to wait about a year due to some of the debts that I had. He didn't charge me one dime for this visit. I took his advice and one year later I met with him and his lovely wife, Nancy, again and proceeded with my bankruptcy. I was quite embarrassed due to my financial situation, however, both Ivan and Nancy never judged or made me feel ashamed. They guided me thru the task of getting all of my paperwork together. Whenever, I had a question, Nancy always answered my phone calls, emails, texts, etc. immediately. Today I had my 341 meeting and again, Nancy and Ivan were right by my side. I have the highest regard for both of them and anyone going thru the trails and tribulations of considering or filing bankruptcy, should definitely call Ivan Trahan. You can't find a better lawyer! He will always have your back, and the same goes for his wife, Nancy. Thank you both so much. You gave me a brand new lease on life!!!!!!!

When another attorney refers you to a bankruptcy attorney describing him as excellent, that is high praise and I now agree that Ivan Trahan is an excellent attorney. He is knowledgeable and courteous. Ivan Trahna and his wonderful staff helped me with a bankruptcy from beginning through discharge including advice for after. At the initial meeting Mr. Trahan summarized the entire procedure. He explained the law, the process and all the options with regard to timing and classification of assets and exemptions for the most advantageous and best possible outcome. Attorney Trahan provided an organized working checklist to help me to give the information necessary for court. You don’t have to try to remember and organize it. This was very helpful since bankruptcy is stressful and can be overwhelming to the point of immobilizing you. He tells you what to expect in court making you feel prepared rather than nervous. Mr. Trahan handled the matter smoothly and professionally. I have had attorneys for other matters and found Ivan Trahan to really be one of the best. I was completely satisfied and would recommend Ivan Trahan to anyone who needs a fresh start.

When I went to see Ivan I owed around $50,000 and I couldn't pay it. He asked me if my credit card companies were calling me on my cell and they were. They had me on auto dial and were calling me like five times a day. Ivan told me we could sue my creditors for that and that they would have to pay me at least $500 per call. I didn't really believe it at first (would you?), but since it wasn't going to cost me anything I went ahead and did it. Ivan filed three lawsuits for me and one of them settled within 3 mos. for $65,000. I had to pay him a percentage of what I got, but who cares? That was they deal. Plus they wiped the slate clean, so that subtracted about $12,000 from the $50,000 I owed when I first came in. I haven't filed bankruptcy yet and I might not even have to depending on how the other lawsuits turn out.

When I first met with Ivan Trahan, I was hopelessly in debt and more than a little depressed. I left his office feeling like a new person. He took my horrible financial debacle and made it right. He was was always available to answer my many questions. And his assistant, wife Nancy, was always available with a shoulder to cry on. I would recommend Ivan Trahan without hesitation.
