Had a bad experience with Tanawa lebreton she takes forever to get back to you if she even gets back to you at that. Reaching her by phone or email seems near impossible. We hired her to do my husband's I-130 I asked her if passport photos were needed since, I seen the area to place these photos on the application. She advised me that the photos were unnecessary for this application. After months of waiting for a response from USCIS they informed us that our case had been delayed due to lack of passport photos. Not only did our case get delayed one time but got delayed a second time when she moved offices and failed to inform myself and USCIS which caused important documents not to be delivered. So I had to send an additional request to have USCIS deliver the important documents that were needed. When I approached her with my concerns she simply reccomend I find another attorney with more staff. Highly unprofessional manners of conduct and communication would not recommend at all.

I hired Tanawa to help me in a case that was very complicated, went to meet several inmigration attorneys and everyone will charge me a fee just to let me know that my case was a lost one, that did not stop them to charge me the 100.00 dollars fee just to see me for 10 or 15 minutes...I almost gave up after spending 600.00 dollars with these other attorneys, (by the way, they always asked me for the money at front). so when I found attorney Tanawa Lebreton and she told me that I did not have to pay a fee I was very surprised, she did listen to me with out rushing me because of her time, she did review the paper work that I had, and she said that there was a chance. I feel very blessed that I got to meet her. She did her best on the first case that she helped me with, later she also did my mom's and now she is a permanent resident, she always keep me informed of everything that was going on....I have recommended her to several people and no complaints. I been bringing more people to her, she is very honest and never takes any money from anyone that she knows that they don't have a chance to apply.

So i tried my case with so many attorneys and non of them could do what she did. This woman is amazing and took my personal problem as her own and won muy battle agains USCIS. I will recomend Tanawa , with no doubt, to anyone looking into dificulte on her imigration case or problem to let her take a look at and solve our problems. Every penny i paid it was woth it. She has stand for my rights as an imigrant and has defended me when things where not looking good for me. Now i face to become a happy American, after having a very dificult time to becoming a resident even after over staying when i shouldnt. I hope my words cen manifest how much apretiation i have for Tanawa for finally taking my case and changing my life. THANK YOU. THANK YOU! She will be my attorney till the end of this road as long as it takes.

I'm originally from the UK and after I married my (American) husband, Tanawa helped us through the entire process of getting my green card, which included tons and tons of complicated forms, medical checks, interviews, background checks, and more! She was always available, whether it be via email, phone, or even scheduling last minute meetings. Extremely professional, with a very friendly personality! I got my green card with no problems whatsoever in a matter of a few months! Thank you so much, Tanawa!

Our family would like to thank Lara Gressley and Mike Donaldson for all their help recently. Their professionalism and diligence was greatly appreciated. More importantly, their honesty and integrity was spot on and they helped us to understand what was happening and what was going to happen to prepare us and we were not surprised throughout our process.
It is well worth your time to pick up the phone and call them.

Dustin Krogh have been an invaluable source of support throughout what I can only characterize as the most challenging period of my life. From my initial encounter with Dustin, it was evident that I was in the hands of a capable and compassionate professional. During a time marked by heartache, financial strain, and legal complexities stemming from disputes with my soon to be ex husband, Dustin's kindness, expertise, and genuine empathy provided me with a renewed sense of hope. Dustin not only took on the considerable legal burdens I faced but also provided consistent support beyond the courtroom. His dedication and guidance served as a source of reassurance through every twist and turn. Thanks to Dustin's efforts, I now stand with newfound strength and optimism for the future. Dustin and his team have illuminated a path forward for me. I am now able to concentrate on rebuilding my life and securing a brighter future for my daughter, unencumbered by the challenges that once seemed insurmountable. Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine concern make them the ideal choice for individuals navigating the legal system's complexities. I am profoundly grateful to Dustin for the impact he has had on my life. His assistance transcended mere legal counsel; he demonstrated the influence of compassion and support during times of adversity.

Whenever I seek advice Dustin gives it to me straight and plays devil's advocate well. His expertise, and experience show not only in correspondence but how he delivers in the court room as well. I'm new to all the legal avenues, but I feel as though Dustin helps me to get through with a positive outcome each time, I believe he will continue to get favorable results moving forward. I appreciate what he brings to the table with his background and his pleasant but very firm stance. I'm so very thankful for his representation.

I had a consultation with Dustin today and had to share my experience. What I truly appreciate about Dustin is his directness and honesty. He doesn’t paint a pretty picture to get you to hire him. Instead he reviewed the gray areas and the possibilities this case could play out. I appreciate his time and his willingness to help me even before hiring him. He explained how to request for an extension as he is unable to represent me with my current scheduled hearings but if I am able to get the extensions granted he would be willing to help take on my case. He referred me to other attorneys as well but I can’t help but want to hire him. He listened. Not many attorneys do and although he had to keep me on track to ensure he got the facts straight, I appreciate his politeness but ability to be re-direct me and get straight to the point without wasting either one of our times. If I can get my hearing rescheduled, he will be the attorney I choose to represent me. Thank you for your time Dustin

My mother-in-law passed away in June 2016, and although she had a will and a trust, we knew that family members would be an issue. We knew that it really didn’t matter what was in the documents she left, someone would fight the process. The first thing we did was to contract Mr. Wojcik to determine what the next step was. After speaking with him and his paralegal Regina, they put out minds at ease and we decided to retain their services. During the entire process which took over a year because of her accounts, possessions, and house, the process went smooth. The correspondence provided from Mr. Wojcik through Regina was always spot on. It was obvious that they knew the law and human nature at the same time. On numerous occasions, letters came from opposing lawyers which appeared to be issues, but our minds were put to ease by the responses. If you ever have to go through a process like this for a loved one, it only makes sense to hire someone that understands the process and has human compassion. I highly recommend Mr. Wojcik and his staff. They understand the law and the fees were very reasonable. Thanks again to the team. Sincerely. M&K N

Davis-Wojcik-Duarte Law Corporation Regarding Attorney Mr. Joseph Wojcik, Esq. The sudden death of my husband devastated our family. We didn’t have a Trust to protect our assets. Lawsuits arose and our estate went into probate. It was complicated, involving business, corporate, real estate, trust and family law matters.  Everything we’d achieved during our lifetime was in jeopardy. I chose Attorney Joseph Wojcik because of his excellent reputation in our community. “Joe” is known for his integrity, leadership, pro bono public service, and a trustee on the school board. He will work for you! Joe expertly guided me through a myriad of unforeseeable legal “bombshells” that emerged. His assistant, Paralegal - Mrs. Regina M. Anderson, remained in constant contact, providing emotional support, while giving instruction and clarification of my duties as Executor and Trustee of the Estate. The best advise I can give anyone reading this testimonial is to “put your house in order” long before the need arises. I rest assured, my children are well served by a Great Team - Mr. Joseph Wojcik, Esq and Paralegal Regina Andersen. Godspeed. -PTA

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Temecula, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
