She is the kind of attorney that gives a bad name to all attorneys. False allegations, malicious prosecutions, misrepresentations in court, over billing and little games like not sending or delaying papers or sending them to the wrong address.
She may have a lot of designations behind her name and volunteer for some committee's and such, but she is a very weak lawyer. In many instances she sends her "Newbie" inexperienced lawyer associates to court for her. Do you want to represented by someone who is just learning?.
In my case she did not even handle a simple restraining order against a person who was representing themselves. Instead recommended to hire some outside attorney from Wilshire Blvd who failed to get the job done. She recommended filing a personal injury lawsuit with absolutely no merit to put pressure on the other side. Despite being a " personal injury attorney" she again punted the case to another firm, yet she tried to charge my Mom's estate almost $10,000 to "Interview litigators" and Co-ordinate strategy. The case was so weak after thousands in attorney bills the plaintiff asked to dismiss his own case.
When potential litigation of the trust came up, again she punted to another firm but still charges to co-ordinate. Why hire her when she isn't up to the job but charges to Co-ordinate?
If you have trouble in your family, this attorney will only make things worse not better. You may think you are getting revenge on them and she will certainly help stir up the pot. But in the end she will make things much worse and raise the attorney bills for everyone.
Go hire a real attorney.
I have never met a person with lower personal ethics.

Cynthia helped me out with a difficult situation. My sibling was trying to keep me from seeing my Mother by making all sorts of false allegations against me. Cynthia was able to turn the table and show the motive of my sibling was to change the trust. Pretty sad, but it was the truth! A fiduciary was appointed making it possible for both us to have the freedom to see my Mom and the trust is set as my Mom had wanted it to be. Thank-you Cythinia

I hired Cynthia Pollock a little more than ten years ago. My sister was in a coma and subsequently suffered significant brain damage. I needed immediate help to get her into a nursing facility, get her qualified for MediCal, and get me appointed as her conservator. There were also mental health issues and courts which initially had custody of my sister. My sister also had some assets which greatly complicated qualifying for MediCal. I don't know if I could have survived all the legal and emotional issues which had to be resolved. Ms. Pollock was able to navigate all the difficult legal issues and provide compassionate support in a very difficult crisis situation.
After all the initial legal crisis issues were resolved, Ms. Pollock did all the necessary legal work to establish a Special Needs Trust for my sister and have me appointed as the trustee of the trust.
In the years since the conservancy and the trust were established, Ms. Pollock and her law firm have represented me for all the accountings required by the court. In addition to the matters handled by Ms. Pollock, her paralegal, Dawn Hartman, has been instrumental in helping me to comply with all the court requirements. All staff members of Ms. Pollock's firm have been professional and competent in all my interactions with them.
In the ten years I have been working with Cynthia, I am constantly impressed with her legal knowledge, her compassion, her advocacy, her competency and her ability to resolve even the most complicated legal situations.
It has been difficult to be a conservator for my sister since I live in Tennessee and she is in California. I do not believe that the courts would have accepted me as her conservator or trustee without Cynthia's representation.
I would recommend her without hesitation. I cannot imagine finding a better attorney.

In our private professional fiduciary practice, we must have excellence in our counsel. This includes the obvious characteristics of knowledge and responsiveness but we also need passion in our attorneys because we are working with vulnerable individuals. Cynthia refers to this as a "fire in one's belly" and we certainly find that she and her staff are passionate in their work. They demonstrate excellence on a daily basis and are committed to the client while working to find reasonable solutions to the issues at hand. I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Pollock both for her technical competence but also for her commitment to her profession and the individuals she serves.

My name is Penny and my brother Lee was in a very serious accident on December, 2011. He was riding his bike and was hit by a truck and sustained a serious head injury. The injury left him with severe brain damage and needing constant nursing care. I was not sure what I was going to do in order to care for Lee but then received some great help and guidance from Pastor Nori and Phil who directed me to Cynthia Pollock. I did not live in California and needed to meet and hire an attorney for my brother so that I could care for him.
I called Cynthia’s office and even though the message said she was gone on vacation for two weeks. Even though she was still on vacation, she called me within an hour. She even met me the same day to go over what I needed to do and gave me the help I needed right away. To me this showed her dedication and commitment to people like my brother and myself, which I believe is honorable and above what others may have done.
Cynthia and her staff are professionals and they have helped me be able to care for my brother from the distance of Montana, by taking care of the legal matters and directing to the resources that would help care for him too. She has been very kind and clearly explained and communicated all the processes of the conservatorship and becoming the Trustee.
What I also saw was that her skills and expertise really made the whole case go smoothly. I have never liked the idea of a court scene and I was really not looking forward to this. As the final court hearing came, it went smoothly and was over in an half an hour. I was so thankful. I had never been to court over anything like this, so this was not easy but due to Cynthia’s abilities she made it look easy.
I continue to be grateful that Cynthia took this case, which helped my brother in protecting him and helping me be able to take care of him the rest of his life. Because of her experience and professionalism, I was able to focus on the others things I needed to do for my brother to care for him during this time and in the future. She has made this process much easier for me. She is a godsend and I would highly recommend Cynthia and her staff. Cynthia is still our attorney and continues to represent my brother and my best interest.
Thank you!
Penny
