Very pleasant experience

The lawyer I spoke with answered all my questions, determined whether I needed a will or a trust, and headed me in the right direction. This was a wise first step in beginning what I have been putting off for a long time.

Cindy Nguyen and her team at Amity Law are miracle workers who helped us navigate through an incredibly complex estate administration process involving living trusts, probate, real estate transactions, Heggstad petitions, debt settlements, business ownership transfers, and communicating with international parties in Chinese and Vietnamese. Before this experience, I assumed "a lawyer is a lawyer," so anyone could just follow some standard rules. Under pressure of time being suddenly responsible for managing an estate, we frantically interviewed multiple other lawyers and found many who would not take on our case due to complexity or not being qualified to handle potentially adversarial negotiations. Most tended towards stalling with problems or negating suggestions ("You can't do this... You have to wait for this... I don't think that will work... That could be a big problem...") After finding Ms. Nguyen through a referral from one of the other lawyers I contacted, she clearly understood the laws we needed to follow. More so, she was able to come up with pointed and creative solutions to legally workaround all of the problems that multiple other lawyers and accountants could not figure out.

The law firm was so helpful with completing my mother will and trust. They completed all documents on short notice and turn around time was truly remarkable. Cindy, Jill and their team go above and beyond expectations. Great at following up, communication and answered all questions in timely manner. Also kind and compassionate service.
