I regretfully need to share my extremely disappointing experience with Attorney James D. Madden. From the outset, I had high hopes and trusted him to handle my case with the dedication and professionalism one would expect from a legal representative. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. First and foremost, Attorney madden exhibited an alarming lack of transparency throughout the entire process. I was constantly in the dark about the status of my case and found it nearly impossible to get clear answers. Whenever I inquired about our progress, I was met with vague or no responses that left me feeling uncertain and anxious. Worse still, it became evident that Madden was more interested in collaborating with the opposing counsel than fighting for my interests. This collaboration felt like a betrayal, as if he was more invested in maintaining a cordial relationship with the other side than in advocating for me. It was disheartening to see my attorney seemingly working against me, rather than for me. The final straw was when Madden abruptly terminated our relationship without any substantial reason. This sudden decision left me scrambling to find new representation at a critical juncture in my case, adding unnecessary stress and financial burden. In summary, Attorney madden failed on multiple fronts: lack of communication, insufficient advocacy, and a surprising termination of services. I would strongly advise anyone seeking legal representation to steer clear of Attorney James D. Madden. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would not wish it on anyone else.

I have been working with James Madden for over a year. My case is complicated and my X mis-states facts in both mediation and court, which adds a lot of stress. But Jim assured me that the truth would prevail. He took the time to fully read and understand my financial history (for the child support hearing) as well as my history with my ex-husband, which includes a stay away order (for the visitation hearing). I needed my story to be heard by the judge and Jim made sure I was able to do that. In the end, I am happy with the outcome on all of our trials. Mr. Madden took my case when nobody else would. Every attorney I had spoken with told me that my ex was going to win. I called Mr. Madden after speaking to him he WANTED my case. He fought long and hard for me. He went above and beyond his legal obligation to me as an attorney. In the beginning the ball was so far out of my court that I had begin to give up!!! He fought harder than I was ever capable of fighting. In the end I had won. I am now happily living with my son. Mr. Madden was able to pick me up when I felt I was not able to continue. If you want an attorney that is going to fight for you like you were one of his own I would suggest him!!!!

My son came for vacation decided he didn't want to return to his mother on account of home life and new boyfriend she hit me with emergency custody and was informed by her sneaky lawyer day before court James was the only lawyer out of about 20 who felt he could help me everyone else said I was going to lose because I was a convicted felon and she was a cop i was granted temp custody till next court hearing I personally felt I was going to have to give up my son his mother made me look real bad but James saw through the false claims and got me custody of my son I was real pleased with his performance i wouldn't have my son if not for him.... He is a great lawyer would highly recomend him .....

Mr Madden is representing me for my case for divorce and custody. He is a very prepared attorney and I truly feel he has my best interest at the forefront. We went to court for custody after my ex tried only giving me 1st and 3rd weekends of the month. Not only did I get to keep my four days a week but he got me everything to go in my favor and made opposing counsel look like a rookie. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great lawyer!

Sons mothers moved away. He was only 1 but I had 22 percent custody and she was just trying to take my son from me. I listened to Madden, it was stressfull, expensive, and alot of work, but everything worked out. I was elated. My sons mother moved back and I have 50 percent custody. Afterwards I reffered Madden two friends and he handled their divorces and another friend interned for him after graduating law school. Madden is a local guy, he knows the courts and he knows everyone from the judges to the sheriffs. He's experienced and if I hadn't hired him I probably would have an uncle type of relationship with my son and not the close father-son bond we have today.

I hired Mr. Madden last minute after being granted a temporary restraining order against the mother of my Fiance's son. I needed help moving forward with the permanent order and was desperate. This case was complicated, yucky and extensive. I had only a short time to meet with Mr. Madden and he caught on quickly to the severity. After filing for my Temporary order without representation and making many rookie mistakes, Mr.Madden was able to clean them up. He sifted through all the complicated evidence and was able to provide a clear account of my suffering. Just yesterday we went to trial and I was granted a permanent restringing order. I now feel safe for the first time in 3 years. As all cases are important to those involved, this was particularity sensitive for my family. My Fiance being a Physician, myself a Teacher and Business Owner with a blended family, life is already stressful enough. Being harassed for the pure fact of wanting to live our lives together was daunting to say the least. Mr. Madden winning our case means I will be safe at my work places, safe to parent my soon to be step son and safe to move forward with our wedding without the fear of the unknown. Mr.Madden's professionalism and his caring nature has changed our lives, I feel extremely confident in recommending him and will be hiring him again this week to push forward with my Fiance's portion of our case.

I came in frantic on a emergency situation, my 16yr old daughter was in some danger , a runaway from a unsafe environment, when she would come to me for help and I couldn't protect her and she was put back into the same situation and continued to runaway, there was nothing I could do as I had 0 physical or legal custody in over 8 years. I brought everything I could with me but it just didn't seem like enough on paperwork for me to get any of my rights back let alone custody. I knew I couldn't do this alone as that route failed for me many times in the past. I called his office around 11am on Monday was given a appointment for the following Tues which was 8 days away!! I explained the I needed help much faster than that! James agreed and had me come in at 5pm, he also explained to me I made it very difficult for him but he would gladly try to help. After over 10yrs of fighting alone , JAMES STEPPED UP FOR ME AND HAD MY DAUGHTER SAFELY OFF THE STREETS AND PROTECTED BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. I can not THANK JAMES D. MADDEN enough. this is no doubt my best day in court during the entire process and I wish I would have went to Howington & Associates on day 1, but even with all my mistakes they handled my case with the upmost priority and came out with extraordinary results.
