So may professionals these days, doctors, lawyers etc are focused on maximizing their income instead of helping their clients. Iva is one of the few exceptions. She always puts your interests first. Truly someone you can trust to do her best for you. You can trust her advice without reservations.

This attorney has an excellent knowledge of the California and Federal Trust laws, listens patiently for all the issues, gives numerous possible alternatives and explains pros and cons of different alternative choices, very comprehensive, professional and family oriented approach. I was very impressed with Iva when I first worked with her a few years ago when she assisted me with my divorce. She was knowledgeable and very insightful regarding the laws and how they applied to both of us in our situation. What made Iva REALLY stand out, though, was how she remained completely focused on the law. She was always reasonable and fair to both sides and never tried to create an unnecessary "war" between us. For these reasons, I chose her again when I needed legal assistance for a recent custody issue involving my husband's young daughter. Her mother was refusing to negotiate and disagreed to our original, very minimal, custody change request asking for alternating Saturday overnight visits to be added. This forced us to file a modified custody request to obtain the visitation that we believed was 100% legally justified. Per Iva's legal advice, we also included ALL of the visitation we wanted to be added. Iva remained focused on the law and always advised how the law applies on each side. She offered solid legal advice for us to chose from. She had no interest in trying to escalate the disagreement in order to keep us arguing. This is a huge plus because it was very emotional. After mediation, the mediator's custody recommendation included just about everything that we requested in our filed custody modification. Opposing counsel completely disagreed and was still unwilling to negotiate. It was set to go before the judge after lunch. During lunch, we were called back because the opposing side was now ready to come to an agreement. This new custody agreement included far more visitation than what we were originally seeking in the very beginning before having to get the court involved! Iva's assistance during the process was key !

This was an empowering experience. I came to Iva having zero confidence and truly no idea of what I needed to do. It is because of Iva’s guidance and patience that she helped me navigate some pretty steep waters. I am so incredibly grateful to her for helping me keep my head above water. She was the consummate professional I needed with excellent leadership skills.

If I could give her a zero I would. She was appointed by the courts in our high conflict divorce. She recomended 50/50 custody even though there was past evidence of emotional abuse by my ex (the evidence was in file from before Amy was appointed but she refused to review past files). Since the 50/50 orders, my ex is not providing the medical care he was ordered to do. I have informed Amy of these issues and she will not answer my emails and is not attempting to help her clients, my children.

She’s compassionate, caring and empathetic. She understands the dynamics of high conflict cases. She helped me get full custody of my kids which I thought was impossible in Ventura County. I can’t imagine how my life would look without her help.
