Felt like i was "sold out " to the DA in return for some other case by mckenna. Couldnt get a felony reduced to misdemeanor after saying it should be slam dunk! It was a $985 home depot deal and he wouldnt, or couldnt get the da to come down 35 bucks to change it to a misdemeanor at $950. Sounds lame, but it cost me my contractors license cause of the felony, which is why i went to here . Actually my bailbondsman recommended him lol. I could have gotten what i got with a public pretender or on my own even! Anyways. Toms got some deep connections judging from the banter in the courtroom with the da and judge about a bar they all were at earlier that week. Hmmm.

Our 19 years old son had made series of extremely poor choices which resulted in number of very serious felony charges. To make matters worse we (parents) were out of state when this occurred. We had zero experience with any aspect of criminal justice system and prospect of our son’s incarceration seemed daunting and incomprehensible at best. We found Mr. Mckenna through frantic internet search on a weekend morning trying to get our son a legal representation while still away. I cannot recommend him more highly. He was very compassionate and understanding throughout the ordeal. His staff was also excellent and easy to deal with. While he made no exaggerated or false-hope promises, he remained encouraging and optimistic. He was extremely well organized, knowledgeable and effective in representing our son at the various Contra Costa Superior Court proceedings. We quickly recognized that he is well respected not only by the DA’s office but by the judges themselves which helped significantly in the plea deal negotiations. At the end, he helped our son to secure the most favorable outcome possible with significant charges reduction, favorable probation terms and no jail time! We are grateful for his help and although we hope not to ever need his services again, we would not hesitate to engage him if needed and can very confidently recommend him to others in need!!

I could not recommend Tom enough. I ran into a little problem regarding a bad choice i made with a past out employer . I was freaking out of the consequences, but Tom quickly opened his schedule to consult and talk with me. He has over 34 years of experience. He gave me the options, and was not pressurizing.
