My wife and I recently had Stefanie help us update our Living Trust. The entire experience from beginning to end was flawless. My family found Daniel Maloney on a list of elder law specialists put out by the Contra Costa County Bar. Our 75 year old mom needed to retire and was facing a second change in housing due to real estate development. My family was trying to get an idea about what her options would be in the future for housing and care. Daniel met with us for an initial visit for a set fee, and we left with a more realistic sense of how to move forward with a retirement plan for our mom. A few years later, we contacted Daniel again because our mom needed estate planning, and he proposed a reasonably priced package that included a will, living trust, and durable power of attorney documents. We met again and Daniel listened to everyone's concerns, spoke privately with my mom, engaged her as a client, and prepared the package of documents. Within a year of this second meeting our mother was diagnosed with dementia, and we had to move her to an apartment near my brother for a year and then into residential care. By using the documents that Daniel prepared, we were able to manage her medical and financial affairs while her disease progressed, and fund the trust before my mom passed. Because of Daniel's skill and experience working with elder law, we were able to move though some very difficult times and avoid many of the legal and financial log jams that can occur for families at the end of a parent's life.

After our previous Trust attorney retired, our financial advisor highly recommended Stefanie West. Stefanie first helped me out back in 2017, she prepared my families living trust/estate planning documents. She was extremely informative and helpful throughout the process. We ended up meeting her in her office, but she did offer up mobile appointments which was a large perk. She was also able to offer guidance on some of the more difficult questions that need to be answered when preparing estate documents (e.g. questions related to my own death). Very easy to talk to. fast forward to 2022, Stefanie helped me navigate a more difficult situation with my fathers estate that i was not making any progress on. She was willing to listen to the situation and offer some helpful advice. She did not prepare his estate documents, but she was willing to jump in and offer up her legal advice which was a huge help. I would highly recommend Stefanie and her services.

BEWARE: Rita took my money and didn’t do anything that she said she would do…I told her every detail possible…she couldn’t pull off what she said she would do!…she kept the money and then moved to a different location…wouldn’t take my calls or wouldn’t be honest about her mistakes…she’s a lier and desperate for your money…
