I interviewed approximately 10 attorneys before selecting Richard. I was originally interested in him because of being Board Certified. Additionally, a former Ventura County Family Law Mediator had plenty of positive feedback when I asked her about Richard. When I talked with him, he seemed ready to fight for my case and take a position on it that others attorney's didn't seem ready to fight for. He seemed to pay attention to detail. One of the two Declarative Statements he prepared far exceeded my expectations. While a lot of attorney may seem cocky, Richard struck me as appropriately confident, calm, well-spoken, and as classy as they come. Richard and his staff have exercised a great deal of patience in responding to all my questions and concerns. The opposing council was very experienced and had authored several law books, served as a Judge Pro Tem, and, like Richard, was also Board Certified. When we went to court, I overheard the opposing council compliment Richard on the good job he did in preparing my Declarative Statements. Later, Richard actually answered some procedural questions for the other attorney. In addition to being thorough and knowledgeable, Richard had valuable suggestions for including in my custody order and successfully got all parties to come to an agreement. Additionally, he helped me to remain calm when I was extremely stressed and frustrated and knew when we should give in and when we should fight for something. While going to court for a custody matter is the worst situation anyone wants to be in, having Richard as my attorney has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Richard was able to manage his associates to handle the paper work to reduce my overall costs. It was always Richard who showed up at court.
