Neil was incredibly helpful when I had questions about my severance offer. Unlike many other attorneys, he wasn't just looking to make a quick buck. He genuinely cared about me and my concerns. Neil offered his expertise and advice to me when I really needed it. The Law profession needs more people who understand that poor people who cannot afford $100K+ legal pursuits are not bad people or predetermined losers in court.
If you can afford a lawyer pay for one that has the right spirit. That's the only way we'll get more of them.

He took the time to help me without any agenda or need to clarify he was the lawyer and I was not.
If you need someone to go to bat for what you need. I'd pick the one that cares about understanding what it is you are trying to accomplish more than reminding you he knows what he is doing and those details are irrelevant. Not in moral cause matters - the details are what juries understand. Humans like other humans.
