Mr. Smith was my public defender in a felony domestic violence case I was fighting. It was my first time in serious trouble so I didn't know how everything worked. Matt thoroughly explained the process that was to take place and made sure I understood my situation. He guided me on what to say and what not to say, info I should bring and what info to leave behind. Matt was willing to take my call late at night when the cops came knocking on my door. The cops lied to me and were trying to trick me. He informed me of my rights and invited the cops to meet at his office to discuss the matter. Long story short, I never heard from them again.
