Thank you Meggin! We used your services to secure a Permanent Protection Order for a family member after applying for and receiving a Temporary Protection Order. That meant that we had only two weeks to prepare, file the appropriate paperwork, and talk with witnesses as well as manage the anxiety and fear that had caused us to file for protection in the first place. I liked that attorney Meggin Rutherford is down to earth, friendly and easy to talk to. My case was not difficult or complicated, but I saw that she can turn it up in court and would fight for me as her client if needed. Excellent at explaining/communicating what’s happening and what to expect so that I was informed at every turn. Her fees/rates are reasonable; I even got some back on my retainer! That was a first for me, especially coming from an attorney, usually (at least in my experience) they’re asking for more. To me that spoke volumes as to the type of person she is: kind, caring, honest, ethical…person of high integrity. I know that I will work with her again in the future and highly recommend her. Grace

I hired Meggin in the end of May, 2017. First it was for a protection order, then it was for a harassment charge that same month concerning the same person. She took care of the protection order and had it not become permanent which I was extremely thankful for. She was very honest and gave me the whole picture of what the possible outcomes could be, and went on to talk about how it could effect my future. After the protection order, she guided me through the harassment charge and did more then I had expected. She would ask me at random how I was doing and would listen to me, and offer help and or suggestions. Whenever I emailed her she replied right away and did an amazing job at it. She was always on top of things and sent me every bit of info she had coming to her from the DA. She always had a plan, and it made me feel very comfortable with her. Meggin is truly a good, kind, caring person, and believes in defending people who are in a "pickle" with the law. She won't just take any person to defend, she will take people who she believes are good humans, and happened to get in some trouble, and need an experts help. She gave me more then I could have asked for in my case, which in the end, she got deferred for me. I am thankful to have found Meggin in my time of need, and thankful for the way she treated me and my case. She took everything very serious and never sugar coated things, which I liked very much about her, she was always very upfront and honest with me, and let me know what could happen in the best or worst circumstances. I would recommend Meggin to anyone again and again and again! She was an AWESOME person/attorney to have on my side and I can not thank her enough for the hard work and persistence she put into my case. She is like no other attorney I've heard of or met. She really just wants to help people in legally defining moments in their lives.
