Being new to Vail, I was unsure who to contact when I was faced with a legal situation regarding the recovery of my security deposit. I was put in an unfortunate situation where my former landlord was refusing to return any money to me and did not provide a lease for me to sign when I moved in to the residence. After researching the relevant statutes, Jim drafted a letter telling the landlord that he is required by law to refund my deposit to me and my boyfriend. Within days, he recovered the money.
