Divorce is hard enough, even in areas with agreement. I can't speak highly enough of the support negotiating our way to agreement when we experienced disagreement, uncertainty and confusion, and it's nearly impossible for me to quantify the emotional and financial relief of having such a skillful team helping us navigate our way through the crazy, complex divorce law system. In my opinion, when you arrive at the incredibly difficult decision to divorce, this should be one of the first calls you make as you look for help to enable arriving at a peaceful dissolution.

Chris Jeffers advised me through my mediated divorce proceedings: we met three times in person and he responded quickly and thoroughly to various emails and phone calls, as well as reading over and (invaluably) commenting on the separation agreement and financial disclosures. He informed me of many financial and legal aspects of which I had been unaware and helped me figure out what my best options were and what would be fair. He was particularly helpful in thinking about co-parenting issues. He is thoughtful and creative, listens carefully, and provides excellent advice. He also helped me afterwards to draw up a new will etc. In addition to being an outstanding lawyer he is an interesting person with an excellent sense of humor; he was a friend as well as an advocate at a time when I desperately needed both. I recommend him most strongly!

In going through what is the toughest time of my life, Chris was able to explains things and the situation in a way that was easily understandable, informative and got me to where I needed to be. He also provided additional guidance and materials that I didn't even know to ask for. Chris gave me what I was looking for, a sense that there was a path forward and the directions for it.

Easy to work with and very knowledgeable

For the divorce situation I was in, I could not have asked for a better attorney. Chris is well versed in the law and cares about his client's best interest. Having him on your team is a very smart move.

Rather than saying Mr. Meiers you and your wife are not a fit for our firm. Within 15 minutes of our consult, John Hoelle looked my wife directly in the eyes and recommended she seek out her own legal council. Turned to me and suggested I do the same. I could only assume in Johns mind telling me to do the same equaled out his wrong doing, making him appear "neutral." Number 9 and 10 of their service agreement clearly states: Mediator is neutral to the parties and there issues. Does not favor, represent, or have personal interest in the outcome. The mediator will not give legal advise to either or both parties. Be careful on your initial consult/interview, their service agreement and ethics clearly do not apply. Was not a good experience for me.

I don't normally post reviews but am happy to recommend Chris. He expertly navigated me through a complex divorce. He was professional, knowledgeable, realistic, accurate in his assumptions, and he even felt like a friend throughout. In the end, I can't think of a complaint, and the outcome was the best scenario possible.

I am so grateful for my experience with Conscious Family Law and Mediation. I learned so much about myself and my capacity to love, grieve, and heal. Peter was so great at facilitating our difficult conversations, helping both of us feel validated, and coaching us on how to work well with each other moving forward in our new co-parenting relationship.
