I was charged with DUI in Feb 2020. I refused breath alcohol tests and chemical test. I did not know back then that refusal would automatically get me 12pts on license, and a DUI charge. This was my first offense. I talked to Barry and hired him immediately. Barry is a great listener, he documents all that I mentioned, and he has a streamlined system for managing documents/paperwork for each client. I really liked the fact that Barry was available when I called initially and did a free consultation with me before onboarding me as a client. Due to COVID, my court dates kept moving out again and again. My final date to plead was almost 1 year after the charge. During this time, following Barry's advice, I had completed Level2 classes & counseling, MAD victim panel and had got a recommendation letter from my level2 counselor. Barry used his soft-skills and negotiated with the DA for a non-alcohol charge. The DA agreed to it and reduced my charge to 8pt reckless driving. On the final day of sentencing, the judge looked at DA recommendation and accepted it. The judge even waived all fines and fees because I had completed my level2 classes. My level2 counselor mentioned to me that this was an unheard of result. Most 1st time refusals usually get pled down to DWAI charges, but she had never had a case where it got pled down to non-alcohol charge. I cannot thank Barry enough for this great resolution. This was the scariest experience of my life and I felt Barry gave me good confidence and direction on how to proceed on each step of the way. He asked me to complete the level2 & MAD panels quickly so we can get a good agreement from the DA. And I think Barry has great negotiation skills, that he was able to get the DA to reduce the charges. If you are in this situation, I highly recommend hiring Barry to represent you. Don't try to deal with this yourself. You need a good lawyer. You need and a lawyer that has a good reputation of negotiating deals with the DA. You need a lawyer who is committed to take your case to trial if need be. You need a lawyer who has a reputation of winning cases for his clients. I never write reviews, but honestly Mr. Lancaster took the time to actually listen to my domestic violence case and BELIEVE IN ME! The fact that my case was dismissed was not as important to me as the manner in which he treated me, and truly DEFENDED MY NAME AND REPUTATION. He fought for me like I was family. That being said, results matter, and Mr. Lancaster got RESULTS. Highly, highly recommend him.

Barry Lancaster went above and beyond to help me win my case against Boulder. They wanted to charge me with a DUI and Barry got it reduced to wreckless driving. He was phenomenal in court. I was being charged with a DUI, and refused roadside tests. I began the process of calling lawyers to see who would suit me the best . I called several lawyers and told them what happened the night of my DUI and just was not finding a lawyer who seemed to be willing to listen to me completely. Every lawyer I had spoken to would say we will get the best plea deal that we can .. That was not what I wanted to hear at all. After feeling like I wasn't getting anywhere with legal advice I called Lancaster Law Office and was connected to Barry personally almost instantly . Feeling like I was back at square one with a new court date set I was frustrated and anxious about what was going to happen. Barry said " well you're about to be even better , your case has been DISMISSED FOR GOOD !" I WAS SO HAPPY! I was hit with a slew of nightmare charges after crashing my car, including DUI. I was disoriented from the crash and the wicked concussion I sustained during it, but I wasn't intoxicated, so I opted to take a blood test after a police officer finally came. The officer was incompetent, and to my surprise, came up with charge after charge, but none of them were true and I was in shock, literally, and disbelief. Because of the charges, I was put in jail instead of in a hospital and left to suffer overnight with no one in my family knowing where I was and without medical attention for my injuries except for ointment for the gash on my stomach the next morning. When I was finally released, I called multiple DUI lawyers in Boulder, and none were enthused about my case, despite me passionately explaining that I was innocent and needed aggressive representation. I'm a full-time student, planning for graduate school, so I could not afford for these accusations to throw my life off track and have serious consequences that could affect my life and career forever. I plead guilty to reckless driving, which was the best option that I could have hoped for given the situation, and since Barry explained to the judge that I had suffered and made life changes to avoid anything like this happening again, the judge gave me the minimum fine and consequence. Barry made my life easier, saved my future, has become a good friend, gave me a fair price, and was extremely professional, capable, and thorough with my case. I would not recommend another lawyer to handle anyone's case in Boulder or on the Front Range.
