Beth Klein and her team are basically Swamp People, but with fewer teeth. I would look for legal advice elsewhere.

Mrs. Klein is an attorney that truly listens. She is extremely knowledgeable and will thoroughly explain all of the available alternatives and choices. She consistently advocates with passion and integrity. Her patience, compassion, and respect for others is what sets her apart. I found my answers and much needed clarification in her assessment and I am thankful I sought her counsel. I would most definitely hire her.

I contacted Beth because she came highly recommended from my business attorney. Beth went out of her way to meet me and discuss my issue outside of normal business hours. She was extremely aware of all the players in the case including my employer´s attorney, the insurance company´s attorney, and the type of litigation I was involved in. I think this deep knowledge helped bring the issue to quick closure. The big reason I went to see Beth was that I was feeling pressured by various attorneys in a case that I hand no real claim. I had no representation, but once I brought in Beth to protect my rights, I felt the weight lift off my shoulders and the other parties backed off. This gave me the peace of mind that was more than worth it.

I have consulted with Mrs. Klein on a variety of legal issues regarding personal injury cases. Her insight into the law is excellent. She has a creative way of looking at issues, and can find solutions even when I thought there were none. I believe her intuition about how personal injury cases can and should be handled is unsurpassed. She is dedicated to her clients and works extremely hard for her clients to be successful.

Those four words best describe Beth Klein as an attorney and person. I know of no other personal injury plaintiff's attorney who has the depth of knowledge and experience that Beth Klein possesses. Her practice ranges from automobile accidents, to mass tort, to class actions. She has done and seen it all.

My brother passed away 2 1/2 years ago. He had a Will and a Personal Representative to oversee the distribution of his estate. Upon his passing his PR suddenly lawyered up and cut all communications with myself and younger brother we are both heir’s as is the PR. The environment got very hostile, I could never get straight answers from the PR or her attorneys. So I decided to see if I could get some legal advise. I found a web site which offered free legal assistance, I submitted the questions I needed answered and waited for a reply… Robert Murillo answered my questions this guy is restored my faith in the legal profession . He listened to me and then told me what my options were, I was impressed and hired him that was around the end of January 2024 it’s now 2/25/2024 and I will be receiving my inheritance possibly as soon as next week! This guy takes his job very seriously and gets results. Robert did everything he said he would do for me and much more.

Mr. Murillo was very instrumental in helping me to settle a business equipment lawsuit that involved my personal guarantee. Initially I defended myself as I thought the cost to hire a lawyer would have been prohibitive. As the case grew more complex, I reached out to Mr. Murillo who helped me understand the complexities of the case, and what I needed to do to settle the case without a judgment being awarded against me. His fees were reasonable and he went above and beyond what I expected, and genuinely took an interest in helping me. I would hire Mr. Murillo again if needed, and highly recommend his services.

I had to retain Colette after I was accused of assault. I had known her for over 20 years while she was a prosecutor and was already impressed with her objectiveness. She was extremely helpful in supporting me throughout a really difficult experience and was able to get the charge against me dismissed. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking highly qualified counsel. Thank you for your good work!!!!!!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Boulder, Colorado?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
