I started working with Sean back in 2016 and from the start he told me what he could do to help me. he went to work on my benefits and I am at 70% disability. Sean continued to work my case through appeals. Sean and his office manager Adam keep me informed on where I am in the process and what to expect. with every small change I receive a call from him or Adam. I was recently awarded my sleep apnea claim appeal that was filed by Sean. Mr Kendall is very knowledgeable in the VA benefits process and his time lines be on point. I am very thankful for all Sean Kendall has done for me and my family. He is the Best.

I went from VA denial to a 100% rating all because of the knowledge and experience of the Law Office of Sean Kendall. In particular the work and effort of Associate Attorney Megan Kondrachuk. She was always available to answer questions provided detailed direction to my case to be 100%. successful. She knows her craft and is diplomatically forceful in the interest of her client. I will be an advocate for The Law Office of Sean Kendall. If there is an award for tenacity and success, she should be that recipient.

For several years I had contacted local Veteran help groups to get my disability claims filed. Time after time the cases were rejected. I found Sean Kendall on a search, called his office and my life changed from that day forward in 2018. Between Sean and his very capable staff they filed and successfully won my claims. Then they pursued the unemployability side of the cases and won those claims. I’m a retired cop and this law firm is far and away the best I’ve ever worked with. I must give credit also to one of his attorneys who moved my cases along to positive conclusions. Megan Kondrachuk. Intelligent and savvy about Veteran cases she’s top notch. If you should ever need Veteran disability then contact this law firm. They are the best.

Mr .Kendall won one hundred percent permanent disability while my loved and unforgettable husband was alive and consequently, as a widow I was able to apply DIC ,which he also won . Despite living outside of USA, it was not an impediment to process everything effectively and efficiently with him . Thanks to Mr.Kendall for his availability ,human quality ,empathy and for his permanent communication and patience with me ,always clarifying my doubts and quires and informing me of the status from the beginning to the end of the process . I wish to express my eternal gratitude to Kendall Law Firm ,who with the excellence of his work, honored my husband’s name in life and also after his death . The professionalism , expertise and experience , allows us to place each case with complete confidence in his hands .Without a doubt, he is THE BEST Attorney of Veterans Disability Benefits , committed to his client ,demonstrating his passion and vocation when defending our rights . he is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Mr Sean A Kendall, Esq., is the "top gun" in military law matters when it comes to litigating VA Benefits and Entitlements for Military Service Veterans and their families. I have known Mr Kendall for nearly two decades and he has always proven to be the top performer, getting results where others have failed. Without a doubt, Mr Kendall and his Team of Experts are ranked the "best of the best" and there is no better Attorney, Family Man and Veteran Supporter than Mr Kendall. My trust in his professional ability is unwavering and I believe others feel the same way about him as I do when it comes to Miliary Administrative Law. I am honored to know him as a friend and as my VA legal representative for these many years. RICHARD L. MILLER, Lt Col, USAF (Ret)

My brother passed away 2 1/2 years ago. He had a Will and a Personal Representative to oversee the distribution of his estate. Upon his passing his PR suddenly lawyered up and cut all communications with myself and younger brother we are both heir’s as is the PR. The environment got very hostile, I could never get straight answers from the PR or her attorneys. So I decided to see if I could get some legal advise. I found a web site which offered free legal assistance, I submitted the questions I needed answered and waited for a reply… Robert Murillo answered my questions this guy is restored my faith in the legal profession . He listened to me and then told me what my options were, I was impressed and hired him that was around the end of January 2024 it’s now 2/25/2024 and I will be receiving my inheritance possibly as soon as next week! This guy takes his job very seriously and gets results. Robert did everything he said he would do for me and much more.

Mr. Murillo was very instrumental in helping me to settle a business equipment lawsuit that involved my personal guarantee. Initially I defended myself as I thought the cost to hire a lawyer would have been prohibitive. As the case grew more complex, I reached out to Mr. Murillo who helped me understand the complexities of the case, and what I needed to do to settle the case without a judgment being awarded against me. His fees were reasonable and he went above and beyond what I expected, and genuinely took an interest in helping me. I would hire Mr. Murillo again if needed, and highly recommend his services.

I had to retain Colette after I was accused of assault. I had known her for over 20 years while she was a prosecutor and was already impressed with her objectiveness. She was extremely helpful in supporting me throughout a really difficult experience and was able to get the charge against me dismissed. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking highly qualified counsel. Thank you for your good work!!!!!!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Boulder, Colorado?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
