I have been in a high conflict custody case with the father of my child for the last 3 years. I spent the last 3.5 years in a family court case for custody of my son. Initially I had a different attorney and had to switch firms because of poor performance from the first firm I hired. I contacted Danielsen Westoff and from the very beginning they have been great to work with. Mrs. Danielsen called me back within hours of me contacting them and listened to the details of my case and was very attentive and knowledgeable. After our first consultation I decided to retain them to represent me. I have high expectations when I hire a service provider and I have been extremely happy with the performance of Mrs. Danielsen and her entire firm. We have been to countless hearings and several trials over the last 3.5 years and Mrs. Danielsen has proven she is an excellent trial attorney at all of them. She has exceeded my expectations. So, I went through a divorce and custody battle 10+ years ago in another state. Within a month of retaining an attorney that was a practicing partner, she left her practice to get engaged and move out of state. I didn't know until after it had already happened. She gave the remaining retainer to another attorney at a completely different law firm that I had never met. They dropped the ball. Didn't return emails for weeks at a time, if even at all. Deadlines were missed because of the representation I chose/didn't, my children suffered because of it. Present day. I knew to be more selective in my current custody battle. I'd contacted many different law firms over the span of 2 weeks, spending idk how many hours vetting. I felt defeated but went with my gut and called one last law firm. Danielson Westhoff Unknowingly, Karli took my original call. She is a legal angel. She cared, and I knew it. As the case began, lawyers have busy schedules, so she had to refer me to Daniel for a part of the negotiating. I was guided to make the hard but necessary decisions that needed to be made. Karli, Daniel, Absolom and everyone at this law firm were not only quick-witted and responsible, but they treated me in a way that I knew they had my back no matter what. I felt safe. If there was ever a "legal hug," I felt that with Danielson Westhoff. I appreciate this law firm and everyone that works there just for the peace and reassurance they gave me when I needed it the most. I would absolutely recommend to any friend or loved one(even use myself again. Hopefully not though😉).

I would highly recommend Danielsen Westhoff for anyone needing family legal support. Rayanna Schurr and Karli Danielsen have both been amazing to work with. I first spoke with Karli during a phone consult after I'd spent weeks looking for state funded legal aid and came up empty handed. I was not in a position to pay extensive legal fees but going against my ex without representation would have been a terrible choice. Karli recommended Ray for my case for a few different reasons. The main being Ray had experience with cases like mine and she would hopefully be slightly more affordable. Ray was amazing. She listened when I needed her to, was available and attentive, she'd even called a couple times when I thought I was losing my mind and helped me refocus. She always advised me well but let me make the final decisions. Ray was great in court. I was very happy with the outcome of everything and the judges ruling. As far as finances, my ex fought for a year and never stopped. It was definitely much more than I anticipated, as I'm sure most divorces are. Still the firm has been understanding of my situation. They have been willing to work with me and have been very clear about what is expected at the same time.

Karli and her team were wonderful to work with! They walked along side me throughout the entire process and made sure I always was prepared for the next steps. My case was fairly complex, and Karli navigated my divorce with grace, patience and compassion for my unique situation. Of course I hope it won't be necessary, but I would be a return client in a heartbeat!
