Here are the issues I faced: 1. The young associate seemed more focused on building a reputation than providing effective defense. Her aggressive approach was detrimental to the client's interest. 2. Abigail insisted on her own way even after losing multiple pleadings. This exhibited a lack of flexibility and an overestimation of her expertise. 3. There was a noticeable lack of empathy, understanding, and reasonableness throughout the process. 4. The decorum and tone displayed by the firm were intimidating, making the entire experience uncomfortable. 5. I received extremely short notice during the holiday season that Abigail was withdrawing from the case. With only 21 days to respond to an appeal and find a new attorney, this was highly inconvenient. 6. Speaking on behalf of my Mexican and Latino community, I cannot recommend this firm or attorney for their lack of knowledge, empathy, and understanding. William Smith did a wonderful job with our mediation process. We had tried another firm and had to terminate services midway. I had a wonderful experience at SBFL. I was able to be seen quickly and in person which is what I needed at the time. From there I was treated with the utmost care and kindness during a very difficult time. Abigail Asadi was a wonderful attorney to work with. She is very knowledgable as well as kind and helpful.
