We recently worked with the Mckenzie Law Firm for estate planning and to develop our family trust. Daniel and his team were great.
Daniel and Tienne were excellent at identifying our wishes, understanding our circumstances, and crafting a trust and related documents that captured what we needed. They accomplished all of this under the difficult circumstances related to Covid-19, going to extraordinary lengths to keep the process moving forward, while at the same time protecting our health.
Daniel, Tienne and Rachel are very personable and a pleasure to work with. We look for and love good process, and they have created a straightforward and efficient process that made developing our trust simple for us. We also found their fees to be extremely reasonable. We can’t recommend them enough.

Dan and his team did an outstanding job completing our estate planning documents. Rachel was proactive on setting appointments, following up and making sure our experience was a good one. Dan thoroughly explained our options, made excellent recommendations and put our wishes into legal format. I am convinced he and his team created a plan that will make managing our estate as easy as possible. In addition to being highly professional, Dan and his office are very friendly, approachable and reasonably priced.

After reaching out to many lawyers in Denver and the surrounding areas to help with my wife and I’s Will and Trust, we finally settled on the McKenzie Law Firm. Plain and simple, we are grateful we did. From day one Dan and his team made us feel like we were their primary client, over communicated, and took the time to walk us through their detailed (but understandable) process. Dan and his wife were very patient and answered all our questions, even using their glass board to outline all scenarios, ensuring our best interests were met at every turn. With out a doubt, we would highly recommend the McKenzie Law Firm team!

Dan and the team worked on my estate plan. They explained things in a very simple, easy to understand manner. Their process worked very well from start to finish. Communication was clear and timely. They took our specific situation into account and were able to give us options when deciding on some of the finer points of the estate plan. Highly recommended!

We met with Dan two times. The first time he talked with us to figure out what we exactly needed and to go over our desires for our estate. We decided to ask him to prepare wills for both of us as well as power of attorneys, living wills and advance directives. He answered all our questions. After a brief period we were told that the documents were ready for our review and signatures. We examined them again and were encouraged to ask questions and be sure that the documents were as we had wished. Dan explained all of the materials as we went through them.
My wife and I were extremely impressed with the whole process.
Dan guided us through the whole process in a very professional manner, which we appreciated.
We would give Dan and his law firm a five star rating and highly recommend him to anyone who would ask
for a recommendation.

Yes, your search is over. You've been traveling a long road trying to find the right person, but go no further. Daniel Ellis McKenzie is professional, very personable and knows his stuff. You will not go wrong with this attorney.
I am hoping these accolades will resonate with you if you are drowning in a sea of choices. Just as I was, until he entered my life in May, 2014, and helped my husband and I put together a Living Trust that will help our sons after we are gone. A number of complicated issues were addressed and handled with care and sensitivity. You are not just a paycheck to this attorney. He will give you his all.
My husband and I had been putting off the inevitable end-of-life arrangements and when we finally bit the bullet, we signed up with another attorney whose approach to clients (despite high ratings) was "assembly-line" at best and "dishonest" at worst. We discontinued our association and did some more research.
I discovered Avvo and scrolled down the list of attorneys. As luck would have it, Mr McKenzie's picture and profile were near the top of the list this day and I kept going back to it. I liked his history and as odd as this may sound, his photograph seemed to reflect someone I'd like to deal with, a hunch that really paid off.
Daniel McKenzie made a depressing but necessary task as pleasant as one can make it considering the subject. He is patient, informative, returns telephone calls and emails, knowledgeable, and just plain nice to be around.
You will have no regrets if you go with this attorney.

I am currently facing a delicate situation with regard to my late husband's Trust. The situation is delicate in part because of the personalities and emotions that are involved -- and in part because of the states that are involved (I live in one state, my husband lived in a second state, and his Trust was set up in a third state, where he had taken up temporary residency to receive medical treatments). I had no idea what I was legally entitled to ask for (or even demand) as far as my husband's wishes (and his former POA's actions) were concerned. I asked Dan McKenzie to look into the matter for me, and he provided me with a thoroughly researched accounting of the rights and obligations of everyone involved in the situation, along with a set of recommendations on how I could proceed. He was thorough, quick, sensitive, and discreet.
