My husband and I married seven years ago. We each had children from previous marriages. Our children are grown and we have quite a few grandchildren between us. We had been wanting to do a will, last wishes and medical arrangements for a while. Since we have a blended family we had anticipated it to be very expensive and complicated. I looked online for a few law firms and read reviews. The McKenzie Law Firm had the highest rating and specialized in blended families. I called and made an appointment. From the moment we walked into their office we were treated professionally and like family. My husband and I are in our mid-sixties and this experience was emotional for us. We were always treated with respect no matter what our emotional state was. All of the staff was knowledgeable and hospitable. They had an abundance of patience and never rushed us through any of our meetings. We decided to do a Trust and they recommended several things we hadn't even thought of. It was complicated. However, they explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions. (And there were a lot of questions!) We thought the cost was reasonable and everything went according to the time-line they set. We would definitely recommend them for any wills or estate planning, especially if you have a blended family! Thank you McKenzie Law Firm.

The McKenzie Law Firm is a family owned and operated law firm that specializes in estate planning and administration. My wife and I were very satisfied with our experience with them. They were very thorough, detailed, and professional with us in preparing our living trusts, wills and medical directives. We met 3 or 4 times over a period of about 6 weeks to formulate and then prepare and sign our documents. Dan, one of the attorneys, helped formulate the plan. His wife Tienne, a paralegal, prepared the documents and went over all the details. Kaden, their son, also worked in the office doing administration and communication with us. Everyone there was always very friendly, cordial and welcoming as well as being professional. In addition to the in person time together additional communication was done through email or phone calls. The fees charged were reasonable for the time involved to do the work. They are located near Arapahoe Road and South University Boulevard in Centennial. The building is a little tricky to find the first time, but very easy after that. We highly recommend them if you need estate planning work. We plan to continue to use them in the future.
