I initially called the McDowell Law Firm for guidance on how to proceed as a witness in a case. Josh personally called me back and was very helpful. He was quick to respond to all of my questions and explained all of the possible outcomes to me without bias. He was very professional and knowledgeable, so I decided to hire him for a case I was currently fighting myself. He took the time to meet with me and get the specific details of the case and he gave me guidance every step of the way. He handled my case in a timely manner and got an outcome I never thought would be possible! From beginning to end Josh and Genesis were encouraging and supportive through out the entire process, and they helped me get a second chance by keeping my license and getting me a deferred sentence. Josh was all we hoped for in a personal injury lawyer! We were both injured by a reckless driver with a criminal record in 2013. Josh filed a personal injury lawsuit, and pursued our case doggedly and tirelessly. Despite the offending driver pleading guilty to reckless driving causing injuries, his insurance company lied, cheated, stalled, and low-balled their offer for over four years. After realizing that Josh was about to eat their lunch in court, the insurance company finally offering an acceptable settlement three weeks before the trial. Josh was very professional and brought a calm to the storm of my DUI. I was able to retain my license, and no interlock. Also, i escaped with minimal consequences upon sentencing. I literally danced with a friend outside of the courtroom! All my friends with DUI'S are super jealous of my favorable outcome! Also, Josh is very attentive, and returns phone calls promptly. Recently I had my first ever criminal charge levied against me...four misdemeanors associated with domestic violence. I was largely ignorant of the realities of the criminal justice process and what, in general, lay in store for me. All I knew for certain was that I didn't seem to have anyone helping me, my set-in-stone rights seemed to be subjective and negotiable, and most of what I'd seen on TV was complete BS. It was an extremely scary time in my life. I started researching and interviewed multiple attorneys to assist my cause. We've all heard the lawyer jokes...my perceptions of attorneys were somewhat jaded and, as I learned, inaccurate. When I met with Josh from the McDowell Law Firm, I knew I'd found my attorney. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, no BS, and I really felt like he was shooting me straight and not giving me a sales pitch. Based on my experiences, it is absolutely critical that, for your BEST defense, you choose an attorney who has prior experience as a District Attorney. Josh has that experience...he knew the prosecution side and the defense side...he knew how they would fight their fight and, as such, how he would best fight my fight. On day 1 Josh told me two things...1) Don't worry...that's his job now and 2) this is how I think your case will go. My case went...literally...EXACTLY...to the letter...how he said it would on day 1. He just had that level of experience and industry know-how. When I would ask questions throughout the process he would immediately provide answers and site specific precedence from specific cases by name. No go-backs to look it up...he just knew it cold. My case ended up not even going to trial because he was able to get me a full dismissal of all charges to include a sealing of all records. Every case will be different, but for me...it's like it never even happened. I can't say enough good things about Josh and his team at McDowell Law Firm. He helped me in one of the most difficult times of my entire life. The criminal justice system is complicated and intimidating and, I felt, oddly disrespecting of my rights. Josh turned those tables and was my knowledgeable advocate and ally throughout the process and at the end of the day got me exactly what I was hoping for. I hope to God I never need the services of an attorney again, but if I do, Josh will be my first call.

I was looking at receiving a DUI during an accident I had in Colorado Springs. By following his advice implicitly and trusting in the advice of my lawyer, he helped ensure a reduced sentence. It was a lot of work and not always easy, but he had good advice and I really appreciated all of his help. Mr. McDowell is a very understanding Lawer I was accused of a dui but they tired to drop it down to dwai and he was like no we're going to fight this and we did and we won I can say he will not make you accept anything that you don't feel like accepting point of it all he knows the law very well.
