The level of expertise, professionalism, and good moral compass provided by this office is everything you can hope for when you go to hire a family law attorney. It can be difficult on the client side dealing with a generally new to you legal process plus the personal elements add a factor, but Carl and Cindi have been exceptional, patient, and my personal favorite quality: honest, almost to a fault (emphasis on almost). You won't always like what Carl has to say, but you know he's only telling you because he's got your best interest in mind and helps you keep the path straight to your own goals. When I got my DUI, the next day I knew I needed to hire a lawyer. I found Josh on Google with all 5 Star reviews and there is a reason for that! He was the first and ONLY lawyer I called and interviewed with and I have no regrets. Don't waste your time calling anyone else, he will get the job done right! Even amidst a global pandemic (COVID-19), he made one of the most stressful situations in my life comforting and seamless . With Josh's counsel I was able to get a deferred sentence , which was really the best case scenario in my case. When I first told him that I wanted to try to get a deferred sentence he was straight forward with me and essentially told me that with my BAC it would be highly unlikely that I would even be offered one but he would tried. He worked his magic and was able to get the DA to offer me one during pretrial. He celebrated the good news with me but he again cautioned me that it was not promised. Sentencing came and although it wasn't easy, Josh presented my case to the judge vigorously and the judge granted me the deferred sentence! I firmly believe that this was a result of Josh and The McDowell Law Firm being a highly respected name within the Colorado Springs legal and judicial system. It was such a pleasure working with him and worth every dime. I highly recommend him!
