I recently hired Joshua Mcdowell to represent me on a DUI case. Mcdowell went above and beyond to get me a better than ideal outcome. He has continued to help me post sentencing and is always quick to respond to any questions that I have. I have no doubt that my case's outcome is solely based on the hard work of Mr. McDowell. If you ever get charged with a DUI, I highly recommend him!

Josh pretty much tell you straight forward and that's it no drama , he deals with it with lighten fast speed and keeps you inform , before I knew it my case is over and done and gotten a 100 times better result then I ever began to hope for. He will not threaten you to into retaining he's services. If he's taking your case , you will not be able to find a better lawyer at any price.

Recently I had my first ever criminal charge levied against me...four misdemeanors associated with domestic violence. I was largely ignorant of the realities of the criminal justice process and what, in general, lay in store for me. All I knew for certain was that I didn't seem to have anyone helping me, my set-in-stone rights seemed to be subjective and negotiable, and most of what I'd seen on TV was complete BS. It was an extremely scary time in my life. I started researching and interviewed multiple attorneys to assist my cause. We've all heard the lawyer jokes...my perceptions of attorneys were somewhat jaded and, as I learned, inaccurate. When I met with Josh from the McDowell Law Firm, I knew I'd found my attorney. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, no BS, and I really felt like he was shooting me straight and not giving me a sales pitch. Based on my experiences, it is absolutely critical that, for your BEST defense, you choose an attorney who has prior experience as a District Attorney. Josh has that experience...he knew the prosecution side and the defense side...he knew how they would fight their fight and, as such, how he would best fight my fight. On day 1 Josh told me two things...1) Don't worry...that's his job now and 2) this is how I think your case will go. My case went...literally...EXACTLY...to the letter...how he said it would on day 1. He just had that level of experience and industry know-how. When I would ask questions throughout the process he would immediately provide answers and site specific precedence from specific cases by name. No go-backs to look it up...he just knew it cold. My case ended up not even going to trial because he was able to get me a full dismissal of all charges to include a sealing of all records. Every case will be different, but for me...it's like it never even happened. I can't say enough good things about Josh and his team at McDowell Law Firm. He helped me in one of the most difficult times of my entire life. The criminal justice system is complicated and intimidating and, I felt, oddly disrespecting of my rights. Josh turned those tables and was my knowledgeable advocate and ally throughout the process and at the end of the day got me exactly what I was hoping for. I hope to God I never need the services of an attorney again, but if I do, Josh will be my first call.

After getting my first DUI I was very scared, but McDowell was so comforting that he put my mind at ease. Though I could have been punished far worse (1 year in jail, $2,000 fine) I followed Mr. McDowell's advice every step of the way and he was able to get an amazing deal from the DA that kept me from serving jail time. Mr. McDowell was with me every step of the way and answered every question regardless of the hour. I'm truly amazed at the quality of lawyer and care I received at such an affordable price.

Josh McDowell is an experienced professional with a demeanor that can bring even the most frantic back to reality. He will work with you not only on his [surprisingly reasonable] lawyer fees in a payment plan, but also on what your priorities are to get you the most agreeable results possible. On top of all that, he responded within hours when I asked him a question about my case *years* after the case was effectively closed. I imagine that kind of dedication to client peace of mind is hard to come by in any field, much less in this one.

As my family and I continue to progress there was one more step that was need it and it was to seal my records. Mr. Cliff assisted in making sure it was the final step in which was a long road to recover my past and insure that one mistake i made should not keep me from suceeding in life. It has been a complete pleasure to work with Clifton Black. He handled a 9 year old DUI on my behalf. I'm no longer a resident of Colorado Springs. I hired Steve after I was charged with a felony. I was accused of writing a bad check, however, the whole thing was a misunderstanding. Steve went to work right away, getting bank records, statements and other evidence. The whole time my case went on, I was informed of everything that was happening, even emailed all of the police reports and the documents he filed on my behalf. The charges ended up being dismissed, but I think the prosecutor would have gone forward had steve not put the work into this case. I am so grateful for all of the hard work. They charged me a very reasonable amount and Steve exceeded my expectations. Nicest attorneys in town, and I think I met with everyone before deciding who to hire. Highly recommended.
