Mrs. McPherson and Mrs. Steiner were incredible to work with. They ensured that my family stay completely informed on everything and were always willing to calm our nerves when something regarding the case would make us anxious. Mrs. McPherson and Mrs. Steiner really took care of our family and we are incredibly thankful for their time and dedication. My wife and I are active military so our schedules are a bit hectic but they were always willing to work with us regardless of timeline. I highly recommend them to anyone going through family changes and needing some legal help and support.

Divorce is rough, but my team made it as smooth as possible, while responding to the crazy updates in my case. Kelly McPherson is hands-down the best lawyer you are going to find. She is a master-strategist, results-oriented, a tiger in courtroom, and also... caring and compassionate. Her experience, professionalism, and client-focus are, in a word, remarkable. It's hard to feel like I can add very much to numerous extremely positive reviews on here about Kelly and her team, but here is something you might not expect out of a law firm -- I feel like she had my best financial interests at heart as well. As anyone who has been through this knows, there are many many smaller issues that you can choose to submit motions for, go to hearings over, and essentially run up the bill to stay in an endless fight. However, by focusing on the big issues and advising me when it was "worth it" to engage on something vs. not, I feel like she and her team were truly working FOR me. My outcomes were extremely positive and I feel like every penny I spent was worth it. Thank you KHM.

Jennifer Helland is the most competent family law attorney in Colorado Springs; hands down. To say my case was complicated would be a huge understatement. I spoke/worked with several other attorneys who frankly just scratched their heads and gave incorrect advice. When Jennifer took on my case she did all of the necessary research to guide me through the process properly. I was very impressed with her ability and willingness to reach out to others within the attorney community to get the answers we needed with my unusual case. It is clear that she is well thought of within that community, which is another amazing asset to have in an attorney. I can say with complete confidence that I trusted Jennifer throughout the entire process to hold mine and my children's best interests as her number one priority. For a mom going through such a tough situation, that was so important and very comforting. The office itself is also well organized and communication is great. I always felt like I could get ahold of them with questions or concerns and they always did a great job of preparing me so I knew about upcoming dates and deadlines in advance. I have been on the fence about writing this review, but feel like I need to get it out there in case it helps someone else that may be seeking representation with a "complicated" military divorce. Jennifer Knies represented me with my tricky separation/divorce/custody/support situation that began while I was overseas. Let me preface this by saying that Jen was super kind the one time I met her in-person (thanks, COVID) for a mediation session and also very nice when I spoke with her on the phone for my initial consult. Most of my interactions with this firm were via email and the majority were with her paralegal, Krista. I found that I constantly had to ping the team to find out what was going on with my case and remind them of things we had already discussed/emailed about-which cost me more money in the end by all of the unnecessary emailing going back and forth. There was a delay in getting my hearing onto the calendar that cost me several months (I am 99% sure they forgot to get it onto the court's calendar, but I can't really prove that). I will say that my case was also delayed in the end by my ex-husband filing an appeal before the divorce could be finalized, but I think my divorce would have honestly continued to drag on and on for months if I hadn't personally resolved my issues with my ex-husband on my own. Anyways, thankfully everything is finally done but it ended up costing me a lot of unnecessary time and money. If you are looking for more personal and timely attention or have a complicated military divorce, I would keep looking.
