I've been working with Elizabeth Thomas for over two years through a difficult divorce custody/relocation case and child support. I hired Elizabeth after my original divorce lawyer dropped the ball during divorce proceedings and put me in a difficult position regarding custody. I hired Elizabeth because I liked her fiery personality and she was able to relate with what I was going through. I had been in an abusive marriage and isolated 500 miles away from all friends and family, my children and I hated the community we lived in and I desperately needed to get me and my children back home where we had the support system we needed to get out of the situation we were in. Elizabeth was willing to take on my difficult case and with her dedication experience and knowledge, she was able to navigate all the proper channels through the court system to help me win my case! I gained custody and was granted a relocation to move back home where my children and I belong in less than one year from the original divorce proceedings. She was truly a blessing in our family's life! I'm so happy I hired her and would recommend her to anyone who needs a family law attorney.

I worked with Ryan, Elizabeth and Bre over a five-month time period. They were smart, extremely professional and truly had my best interests at heart. They took the time to care about me on a human level as well as exert a needed and realistic level of honesty. Going through the judicial system was not an easy process (mentally or physically) but they helped me navigate all steps of the process flawlessly and were always available for a phone call or email when I had questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this law firm, they are truly a great group of caring and intelligent people who are familiar with all of the idiosyncracies of the Colorado justice system.

Worst representation ever, Ryan did and said NOTHING to defend me, I could have done that myself, What a joke of a firm just out for money! Disgraceful!!!!!!!

He will always tell you the truth on what the case will look like and give everything he has to make sure you win! He did the best job and didn’t beat around the bush on what can happen. He made sure I was released of all unfair charges no matter how much hard work he had to put in. I would never even fathom using another lawyer if I want someone who works hard to get what you deserve and is the most honest transparent lawyer you will ever find in Colorado hands down! Don’t underpay for someone who just wants to settle and get your file off his desk. This guy will give it his all and is very classy in doing it. He brings a whole new outlook on what a lawyer should do for you!!

I ended up negotiating a better deal with my ex's lawyer than my lawyer was trying to get me. I found out after the decree that my ex-wife's lawyer out maneuvered my lawyer which gave my ex-wife the best outcome. I was told inaccurate information, and my lawyer didn't put in the due diligence that I would have expected - didn't manage risk or weigh trade-offs well. Maybe 2 hours of face-to-face meetings and the rest of the time was working with his paralegal. $6,000+ later, I'm paying the price.

I originally called Cory for help in a court case regarding parenting times. He was upfront with me from the start and told me his thoughts on my case as well as his perceived outcome. I chose Cory as my lawyer and from that day on he listened to all of my concerns and I felt as though he genuinely cared. After processing all of the complexities and details of my situation, Cory was able to unfold a realistic and logical plan in the days leading up to trial. His strategic approach helped me organize and prioritize my thoughts so I could go through this emotional experience with a clear sense of direction. During trial his knowledge of the law proved to be a winning factor as well as his understanding of the case. I recommend Cory as a lawyer. He is exactly the type of person you want on your team when you’re faced with this kind of conflict. I’ve dealt with lawyers for over a decade now and I can honestly say Cory is one of the best. I am very fortunate that he was willing to help me through this difficult time.

I could not be more disappointed with the service provided by this law firm. I was told financial not to worry about spending a lot and that I would be worked with. That was a complete lie. The first two months was great, then on the 3rd month attitudes started to change. I felt like I was working for my lawyer, not the other way around. The last two month I felt like they only talked to me because they had too. I do not have a lot of money, that statement was relayed multiple times and I was told the amount should not exceed to far past the retainer. The amount was not mitigated as much as possible but I felt like it was encouraged internally to apply charges to anything and everything (emails, phone calls etc.). Yes, this is normal, but I was told “they would limit the overall financial amount as much as possible”. I was not represented well either. It was a one ended divorce, it literally was as if the lawyer bent over backwards for my prior spouses lawyer during every conversation. I feel as if I was more financially set, maybe the lawyer would have helped more. I was in the backseat of my car letting a stranger drive and we crashed hard. I will not speak about the rest of the firm, but do not go to Elizabeth. I have heard great things about the team. But for me, I have been left in complete financial ruin because I trusted when I shouldn’t have. Also, when it comes close to a holiday (specifically Christmas) great deals to pay of your debt to them will be made. When your the lowest on money and have a family. I made my final payment last night to this firm. Honestly, they owe me money.

Talked with Elizabeth today on the phone regarding a domestic partnership issue. She was very helpful and I appreciate the ten minutes of her time she gave to answer a few simple questions. If I need a lawyer in the future I will be contacting Aviso.
