When I found that we needed an attorney for a felony case, we hired PWL. Mr. Weaver for caring and compassionate and took the time to listen. He went above and beyond to ensure processes were followed including driving to another county. He was able to negotiate limit long term consequences. If I ever need legal services again, he will be the first person I call.

No one likes having to hire a Criminal Defense Lawyer. Believe me I sure didn’t. Patterson was a very good choice for me. He is very passionate and cares about those he represents. You may not get the outcome you want. Everyone including myself everyone wants a not guilty verdict or charges dropped. Patterson will not sugar coat your situation. He tells you straight up like it is and he’s very forth coming. Always remember that the DA doesn’t care about you or what negative consequences their actions will have on you and your family. All they care about is a win. No matter how many disgusting or low handed tactics they use, all they want is a charge to stick, even if it’s not what you were originally charged with. Patterson is the best criminal defense attorney I have encountered. He did everything that a good attorney would do. Though myself, have very little experience/need for a criminal defense attorney, I did find a life saving need in having an attorney such as Patterson, on my side. In January 2014 I fell into the legal clutches of the Colorado DV court system. Out of legal necessity, I took my case to trial. Patterson did more legal research, investigation, fact finding, direct evidence, interviewing, and preparation then the DA. It was difficult to determine if there was any active prosecution, Because the states case relied solely on a police report and police investigation, that included nothing but a picture of our personal sticker collection. Patterson did a full model and presentation with direct evidence that countered the states claims. Patterson actively listens, and not just to his clients, but in all instances. Not one time did I ever need to communicate with Patterson Unnecessarily, during my case on any one primary objective or subject. Patterson kept me updated with the status and process of my case. He was direct up front and honest. Told me what needed to be done. And prepared for trial... per my request. Patterson is the first attorney I've ever had, whom I felt actually put in the work to earn the legal expenses... that says a lot. Patterson's court room manners and experience are exceeding of any expectations I had. From jury selection, to opening statements, closing, communicating with the judge. Patterson was very compassionate, understanding, empathic. He understands that it really is life changing for someone to get caught up in this legal system, and he provides good advice and reminders and philosophy/outlook towards the situation. Not only that, but Patterson fully explained the process and how each legal step would transpire and what it was for, and also allowed the trial process to be a viable learning process to learn how the court from really works looks and sounds. Beyond that, nothing more can say how great Patterson is other then we won and he's good.

We needed to complete a comprehensive estate plan (including wills, POAs, and guardianship) before deployment. Patterson & his paralegal, Karie, were incredibly accommodating; they scheduled late appointments and, when it was impossible to meet during normal hours, graciously stayed late for us to sign the completed documents. Patterson took the time to thoroughly review each document with us to ensure accuracy and understanding. Communication was top-notch and the fee was reasonable. I highly recommend this practice.

Although my case ended up need more time and dedication from Patterson and i made many offers to compensate Patterson for his time, he refused and insisted that the price quoted would be the price paid.
