The lawyer I spoke with seemed sincere and knowlegable and had a sense of humor, which is needed today

Much like other clients on here, I hired James T with a $3000.00 retainer. I was "pawned" off to Eric Charny. Eric showed up to initial hearing late, looking extremely ragged and dishevele. The divorce in which they were hired for was relatively easy, in which they didn't need to do much. I was told not to expect any of my retainer to be returned. Which was accept, but much to my supprise they when over and essentially doubled that with my retainer plus an add 3k. I must note I met with Eric once, and talk to on the phone twice... Upon talking to my ex-wife I have found that she has spent under 1,000 and I was getting charged for Eric to correct his own mistakes. Buyers beware... There was little done on my case, and by the time I figured that out they were spending money like it was a water fountain. Don't be fooled by the complaint department canned response from them to make it look like they are "reviewing your case" this place was a money pit. After I got my invoice it was almost laughable that it says I should increase my credit card limit or ask family for money to pay my attorney, who was doing little and charging a lot .. All with no communication as to what was happening with my case.

I was rushed and did all the leg work alone , spoke to Boyd once, he commented that thesounded as though she was crazy.so true got pushed for more money and nothing was done on my case. person and the situation I needed helped with sound

Boyd gave me no nonsense, straight forward legal advice. The free consultation was just that. My situation required no further action, therefore no charge. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Being kind and giving 3 stars since they still have my retainer. Met with Boyd who was extremely educated and very matter of fact. He mentioned they weren't super busy so we came in at the right time. It has now been over two weeks and the person who is supposed to be handling a "demand letter" isn't even responding to communications. She said she would have the letter done Friday or Monday and it is now the following THURSDAY. The person I spoke to on Tuesday said they have been very busy and that the person who is supposed to do our letter, "didn't know court would take longer than expected this week", umm..."this week" what about getting my letter done BEFORE "this week" like you said you would. So beware and do your research before you hand over a retainer fee. Everyone in the office at the time my partner and I met with them were extremely professional and kind, but I am honestly worried that since paying the retainer that we may see a different story now.

Buyer beware. I met with James Townsend. He is extremely nice but you don't get to work with him. They pawned me off to a junior attorney named Eric. Eric shouldn't be allowed to speak with customers. He used all legal terms which I couldn't understand since I'm not a lawyer hence my hiring one. My divorce is not final and I'm out $3000. I fired this law firm yet they kept billing me. Saying some nonsense about the judge accepting the dismissal motion. I don't believe that for a minute. During my consult I feel like I was given very bad advice causing me to hire this law firm. My divorce should have been super simple since I did ALL the hard work. I just needed a judge to sign divorce papers. Not sure why that would cost $3000. Please be very careful hiring this law firm. They care more about money then their clients. Update 10/29/2018: I contacted their customer service and received the same kind of run around. So now my divorce case is cancelled, I'm still married and I'm out $3000.

This is the 3rd time we’ve used them as a landlord. Spoke with a live person every time I called, very professional and clearly answered all my questions. So happy to have them hold my hand while dealing with a harder tenant. Prices were also very reasonable.
