I gave Mikayla an unbelievable amount of evidence, and updated on issues throughout the 2 years of my divorce. She failed me on so many levels. She submitted documentation with incorrect information. She didn't know opposing party evidence was relating to, as she told me in the middle of my hearing. She failed to ask the pertinent questions during questioning that would have been a game changer. I would never hire her again. This isn't a bash for all because my case came out bad, I got what was most important to me, but she cost me thousands of dollars in back-owed support as well as assets that she never accounted for.

Mikayla did a thorough job for me when I hired her last minute. She was responsive, knowledgeable and understanding. I am active duty military stationed in Virginia and my ex and oldest live in Colorado. My son had only been living with him in for a little over a year and we agreed to change the child support amount. Everything was signed, sealed and filed at the courts. My ex out of the blue filed for reimbursement of overpayment of child support, which didn't exist. He wanted me to pay him for the months prior to the child support change that we agreed on. Never having lived in Colorado I did not have a clue what to do legally. I called the Harris Law Firm and was recommended to hire Mikayla because she was familiar with child support laws having worked there in the past. I had a virtual court hearing a week from the day I called, she immediately filed to have it rescheduled. This gave time for her to gather facts and communicate with my ex. After a couple months she filed for case dismissal based off lack of evidence and requested the judge to grant my attorneys fees be paid by my ex because this whole process was ridiculous. Once my ex got the filed petitions from Mikayla and saw what she was doing, he agreed to drop the case and agreed to pay over half my fees. She has the knowledge, facts and skills to help anyone. My son is coming back to live with me this summer and I am getting ready to retain her again to get all the paperwork for the living arrangements and child support documents signed and filed. I have no doubt she will do her best. Also, Jennifer is amazing and is so nice, helpful and responsive. I highly recommend these ladies! Thank you!

Hiring Mikayla to represent me in the divorce, but more importantly the child custody hearing, was in hindsight the most critical and important decision I had to make.
