Lisa Shellenberger did an exceptional job representing me and guiding me through a rather difficult divorce and custody battle. She was compassionate, understanding, patient, professional and straight forward. Someone else was representing me before I found Lisa and made a lot of mistakes in my case. Lisa came right in and cleaned up those mistakes promptly and efficiently. I highly recommend her.

I know a good lawyer when I meet one. I have had to use several due to my ex-husband and all he put me through for 18 years. Most of the lawyers who helped were okay...yet Lisa was the most dedicated, honest, kind, helpful, and go getter of them all!! She was always there to answer any questions I had and promptly, and she never stopped until I had the best outcome I could have. I am eternally thankful for what she did and I would recommend her to anyone!! Please don’t hesitate to seek her services...TRUST me, she’s AMAZING!! UPDATE 2023 -She messed up BIG time. I found out in 2021 that I signed an unmodifiable document that caused a MAJOR issue for me. I asked her very candidly, what I was to get for alimony IF needed…she pointed to the court document & told me. I asked if she was SURE, and she assured me; wrong. This was the ONLY mistake, yet make sure to check things yourself, no matter how hurt/stressed you are as even someone “rated the best” can mess up.

Lisa Shellenberger is who represented me in my case. She not only did a fantastic job defending me, she was also a comfort when I was having a terrible time dealing with my situation. Lisa made sure all the i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed. She very comforting, considerate, diligent and timely. She WON my case to my satisfaction. The IRS and the State of Louisiana were after me for a total of $325,000 in unpaid payroll taxes for the family business that I was affiliated with years ago. This situation was threatening to tear my marriage and my entire life apart. The most incredible part is that McGuire got this done within 5 months after I engaged them! There is no doubt in my mind that John and the team at McGuire are the best out there.

John has been a resource to several clients who have need bookkeepers, taxes filed, and/or an estate plan completed. He has offered me many consultations to discuss these same items with him during the pendancy of my clients' divorce cases. I appreciate all that John has done for these families.
