April was fantastic when we met with her. She was very professional, and listened carefully to our story and what we had to say. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and even when they overcame me, she stayed professional and really showed she cared. At first the Zoom wasn't working, so we were talking on the phone, and you could even hear it in her voice. When we did get Zoom working, it was confirmed that she cared. You could see it. She clearly laid out the next steps for us to take, and what to expect. It really helped bring down my anxiety high, and ground me back to the reality of what is going on, and not thinking that my landlord can do whatever they want. Thank you SO much!

They give free consultation and just in that short phone call you learn enough to make you prepared for any legal action that may be necessary!

I was dealing with a hot water issue in the apartment I stay in and gave them a call, the advice I received not only helped solve my issue with my hot water but potentially saved me and my families lives. I found myself in a situation where I had already paid my lease-buy out to my landlord, but it had become clear that this was in error and I needed to have it refunded. I called Colorado Affordable Legal Services to explore my options. I was informed that since we'd already paid it, they weren't interested in representing me because they were clear that there was little they could do for me. But, I did have a brief--and free--discussion in which they provided some tips and a little bit of vocabulary that we could use in another message to the landlord. To our surprise, the message we sent to our landlord turned out to be effective, and they agreed to the refund. I appreciate CO Affordable Legal Services professionality and helpful advice. I'd recommend them to anyone having trouble with their landlord.

They were able to help us out in a really desperate time and with very little notice! Very nice and answered all our questions (we had a lot, new to living on our own and knew little to nothing but left knowing all we needed), also followed up to make sure we were doing good after everything. If we ever need legal help again (hopefully not) we will most definitely go back to these kind people! We have not met a lot of people in Colorado who will go out of their way to help you and thats exactly what they did, went out of their way to help us when no one else would. 100% recommend for housing legal help!
