Matthew Skeen did a phenomenal job representing my husband and I. He was respectful, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, never made us feel dumb, gave great advice and represented us as our attorney in the most respectful manner. I was forced to declare Bankrupsy mostly because of business debt. Matt thoroughly explained to me what that meant and was clear my life would not be over. There was a debtor that wanted one of my loans to be non dismissive $150,000 and Matt made it Hell for them and defended me, backed me up and explained my side. After a 6 month fight he made them back off and it was dismissed. I will forever be great full.

Bankruptcy is a horrible experience, but Matt helped a lot. He didn't make feel bad about my situation, just gave me helpful advice and encouragement. I live in the mountains so we did everything by phone which could have be a pain, but it wasn't at all. He is very laid back, but at the same time efficient, the perfect bankruptcy lawyer. I would recommend him, but I hope I will never need him again.

Right for the start he was kind but tough enough to get the job done . My Father passed away and it was a tough process trying to figure out everything by myself, especially because I lived in a different state. But Mathew Jr. not only helped to alleviate a lot of the stress . But he was relentless in getting everything taken care of for us over the phone and through email . Matthew Keen was 100% the best in communication and effort. He went above and beyond to make this tough decision/process one that didn't add any unnecessary stress. My case involved a creditor trying to collect a discharged debt. While the local county court initially ruled in my favor that the debt was no longer collectible, the creditor managed to convince the judge to reverse the ruling so they could continue garnishing my wages illegally. At this point, my former lawyer who assisted me in my original bankruptcy case referred me to Matthew Skeen, Jr. Right off the bat, Matt seemed extremely knowledgeable about the finer details of bankruptcy laws and I felt confident we would prevail. After all, the law was on our side. The problem was the judge didn’t know bankruptcy laws well and continued to incorrectly rule against us. Our case, which should have been a quick one, took nearly six months but Matt preserved and never gave up. I will admit, there were times when I thought, “What if they still rule against us?” Whenever that happened, I would reread the filings Matt filed and they were facts, facts, facts and straight to the point. The filings reassured me that there was no way we would lose with Matt’s skills and knowledge of the law. Our case eventually moved to both the Bankruptcy and District courts, and fortunately the creditor agreed to settle outside the court before proceeding further in the case. Matt was able to recover my garnished wages and I couldn’t be happier. Matt was very professional throughout the ordeal and I really appreciate how easy it was to communicate with him via email.
