Doug Cohen went above and beyond in representing me in my DUI case. His paralegal and him were always available for any questions or concern I had. Doug was very upfront with everything and I appreciated it. Since day one he guided me on what I had to get done before my court date. With his expertise and defending my case, I was able to get a short probation sentence and avoid jail time with in- home detention. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good attorney.

Todd was very knowledgeable in divorce law and in all that was needed in my case. Immediately, I felt heard by him as he listened to my needs, and felt reassured by his calm demeanor. He would remind me what was important and what was worth pursuing, and what was not worth the time to argue about. He and his assistant were always on top of things, always informing me of the next steps, and explaining with patience what to do. I had no idea of the impact that being arrested for a DUI charge would have on my life. Peak Legal Services was recommended to me from a friend in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous and thankfully I called and discussed the events of my DUI with Doug Cohen within a week of the arrest. He immediately went to work on my case and we worked on mitigation. I had so many questions about what to do and trying to understand the legal process and making sure that I was fulfilling the requirements of my jail bond, pre-trial services, DMV circumstances, etc. Doug was a godsend and make my circumstances very clear to me and helped me understand all of the things that I needed to do, in order to remain in good standing with the courts and pre-trial services. Just understanding all of the moving parts was overwhelming, and Doug not only helped me understand everything that was going on, but also gave me constant guidance and direction of all of the work that I could do to help my case result in the best possible outcome. In my case, I had a very high BAC, was passed out in my car on the road. Due to the overwhelming evidence against my case, we decided that it would not be wise to try to fight the case, but rather to mitigate the case and attempt to seek a plea deal with the district attorney's office and if that didn't work, present a strong amount of evidence to the judge to show that since the arrest, that I was doing all of the "right things" to make up for my terrible mistake of drinking and driving. Under Doug's guidance, I took several actions that I would have not otherwise known to take that helped contribute to the positive outcome of my case, such as; attending a MADD victim impact panel, completing level 2 education/therapy courses, getting letters of character reference from friends, family, and coworkers, completing community service ahead of time (which the judge counted towards sentencing), and much more. Additionally, we were able to get continuations of the court date, that allowed me to complete treatment for substance abuse and allowed me the necessary time to complete all of the mitigating actions mentioned above, while working a full time job. The result of my case was a positive one. Considering my high BAC, I was very satisfied with the overall sentencing and feel like I had the best outcome possible with the circumstances surrounding my case. Without Doug and his team at Peak Legal Services, I don't know what I would have done and I am incredibly grateful for Doug and his team, and would highly recommend them to anyone who has to go through something similar.

My girlfriend and I were in Colorado on a six month vacation when my girlfriend got struck by a car while crossing the road, one week prior to having to drive to Canada to comply with her visa. This was an extremely stressful time for us due to her injuries. On top of this we were not familiar with the mind field that is the US health system nor the local rules and laws. Although the driver was at fault (full liability was admitted), we had a number of issues with our travel insurance coverage which left us out of pocket. After employing the services of Ben Norton, he was able to negotiate a settlement to help cover our remaining expenses as well as cover off a whole raft of other requirements that would have been hard for us to do given we had moved to Canada already. This removed a tremendous amount of stress from us meaning we could focus on recovery and not the financial aspects. We will be forever grateful to Ben for this. We found Ben to be very professional, approachable, and extremely easy to deal with. We felt that Ben had our best interests at heart throughout the whole process. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben Norton to any potential clients. We found his service to be excellent.
