I've been in the legal world for 15 years, so I have a base to evaluate lawyers. I would not retain him again for negotiations or litigation- he was completely frustrated that I cut him off mid-thought and told me he "doesn't function well with that". If you are that rattled by your own client, how are you going to deal with adverse counsel or litigation? So absurd that he couldn't see past a little "rudeness" by his own client on the phone, who is passionate about what he is going through. Get some thicker skin for goodness sake- you're supposed to be an advocate.
