I am an attorney who has been practicing for 28 years. I don't often write reviews, but I write one now because I am so impressed with Maha Kamal. She is talented in every aspect of the law. She deeply cares about her clients, she is impeccable with her legal research and writing, she is assertive in court, well prepared, and effective! She sees the arguments and prefails in her appeals. She is fair, just, dedicated and loves the profession. She deserves all the stars, and she is a star!

Maha Kamal at the Colorado Family Law Project is an outstanding attorney! I am incredibly grateful to have Maha represent me throughout my child custody case. She demonstrated her professionalism and expertise as a highly competent and meticulous attorney and will always work tirelessly on your case. Maha treated my scenario with integrity, follow through and care, and my finances were treated with respect. She empathized with me, counseled me, and supported me through this process. Maha represented me on a case of blatant parental alienation, abuse of parenting time, and modification of child support after my ex, who is also a Colorado attorney, filed motions to modify parenting time and child support after nearly a year of not making child support payments or following our parenting plan. Maha stood firm with integrity and outstanding character in dealing with my ex-husband. Maha's commitment to practicing law with superb ethics and professional composure was apparent after two judges recused themselves in my case due to my ex being an attorney in the county where my case was being heard in District Court. After being assigned a retired, visiting judge from another county, I cannot speak highly enough in regards to the level of respect and appreciation I personally observed each judge demonstrate toward Maha due to her tremendous legal presentation, preparation, guidance, and outstanding knowledge of the law. Maha's exquisite and timely legal decision making on how to handle my case against an outright bully of an ex who thought he was above the law is what ultimately brought my teenage son and I justice. Maha's legal mentoring skills and exceptional ability to educate me on the law and how I was being taken advantage of is what emotionally supported me through each step of the legal process. Maha was not only my attorney, but presented as a down-to-earth human being and friend who advocated for legal justice for those up against a relentless ex. My ex attempted to humiliate me via the courts by filing unnecessary documents in an attempt to discredit and slander me in a desperate attempt, which wound up backfiring on him. Maha stepped in and filed appropriate responses to the outrageous filings from my ex. Maha Kaml is exceptionally knowledgable when it comes to parental alienation, child support, and parenting time, in addition to dealing with ex's who are tricksters of the law. She executed a detail oriented plan for my case, which was an outstanding success. I was awarded attorney fees, back child support with interest, and most of all, my relationship with my teenage son can no longer be threatened by my ex due to successful therapy. Finally, my ex-husband was investigated, disciplined and held accountable for his unethical actions in the State of Colorado for his blatant abuse of the law as a practicing attorney. Thank you, Maha Kamal, for your outstanding representation, compassion, and the plethora of knowledge and wisdom that you bring to the courtroom in the state of Colorado. I will forever be grateful for what you did for my son and I.

Maha was very straight forward all the way end. The case ended with more than I asked for, even though Maha tried to fight for more. She always paid attention to my wishes based on her opinion. I was so lucky to be on her sliding scale and the case ending was invaluable.

Maha is a great lawyer and advocate. I really appreciated her hard work and help throughout my whole divorce process. She was always on top of things. Maha was always prompt in her responses and took initiative in dealing with opposing counsel. Even though she is very busy and had other cases to deal with, I always felt like I was important and my case was a priority. She was very professional and followed through with everything. I worked with Maha on a potentially high conflict case. Maha worked to minimize conflict, she provide excellent legal strategy and advice. Maha resolved my case in a quick and efficient manner with a very good resolution. The opposing law firm was much bigger than Maha being a solo practitioner, but her outstanding legal skills and knowledge proved superior.

I hired Maha's legal representation back in 2018 when my ex and I were disputing child custody. It was the worst period of my life. I had never been to court for anything in my entire life. I was lost, scared, and emotional to say the least. My ex filed in a different county than the one we lived. Maha fought hard to get us moved to the correct county (and won!). Her knowledge of the law took alot of my fear away. She is also kind, compassionate, and empathetic. It was like working with a friend. It was an awful situation battling my ex for our baby, but I trusted Maha 100% that she had my best interest. Maha is an amazing and smart Lawyer. She has been my lawyer for the last 4 years!
