Diane Barrera was very helpful on my case, very professional and polite.

When I called Colorado Legal Defense Group I was in a lot of trouble with two cases and multiple felonies. I spoke to Mark Savoy who was very understanding, reassuring, knowledgeable and down to earth and because of my first interactions with him, I decided to hire the firm. After some time, the first attorney assigned to me ultimately decided to stop practicing law and that is when Ahad Khilji took over my cases. Ahad's job wasn't easy as my cases had become stagnant in a way, with a DA who just wasn't willing to budge on his original offer of 3 years Community Corrections. Ahad breathed life and hope back into my cases and back into me, the time and effort he spent on my representation was apparent in everything he did and said on my behalf. He never stopped fighting for me and he won, we won. After nearly a year I was finally sentenced to probation with 60 days home detention. Thanks to Ahad I rest easy at night again, I can breathe again, and I don't have to leave my family or my life behind. I can honestly say that without these gentlemen, my future would be dire. I owe Ahad my life and have so much respect for him as an attorney and as human being. I highly recommend Colorado Legal Defense Group. Thank you so much for what you did for me.

What should have been simple became a disaster. My wife had a false misdemeanor assault charge after seeking help.she was hit by DUI driver who tried to flee and she tried to stop him from fleeing? When a group from a rented BRB came out and harassed her. 6 police officers involved never offered her ANY attention instead it became mob rules. We believe this would be thrown out with over 82 pages of evidence. She made a motion for dismissal and instead was given one count of assault and 2 for disturbing the peace.several more (4) appearances , advised to get a lawyer each time on this $1000 MAX charge . My wife became intimidated from the system at 4'10" sixty yrs old , clear life long police record, and a former police dispatch she couldn't believe what a corrupt system it is. Medical issues / surgery and lower middle class I took a loan from 401 k to hire Representation at $3,500 which didn't include a trial. WE distinctly made it clear there is No plea brgain and dismissal was only acceptance. Your attorney offered no q guarantees and started on her milestone routine She also advised the DUI case was separate case and kinda ignored it after our advice it's what was initialy the crux . A couple very short meetings , some phone calls to the alledged victims by your assistant and your request for discovery( which we already had). Your attorney appearance ( double dipping having another case simultaneously) made the motion to continue for 2nd time . After a third her motion for trial was requested. My wife having zero knowledge of this process informed me and I was livid Your firm gladly informed her of all the MILESTONES completed they require another $3500. I myself advised my wife now of how it works and there is no conscience, embarresmen,or remorse when requesting another's life savings. It's here where my 4'10" wife listened to me and FIRED your worthless attorney who obviously never read the discovery.I high lited over 54 facts each enough to dismiss. My wife phone open 9 minutes to 911 dispute ( start to finish)not to mention on 911 dispatch from original accident but his written testimony claims he was 5 blocks away. It took my wife( who has zero legal education).5 seconds to kick the prosecuters ass who obviously didn't read the case either). You should be embarrassed on your ability to choose a team , unless that's qualities you look for. To bad there is a bar to pass otherwise you could interview my wife. We're old and ready for coming retirement , I wish you the same fortunate fate to be able to look back...we are both proud of our life choices .what started out as my wife's voluntary choice to give a life long friend a ride for her retirement party ( neither one of us drink) ended that day as a physical and financial mark . I'm now having to go through the process of retrieving our loss without Any funds for representation, and this day seems to never end ..your firm seemed to be punishment for doing the right thing . We both lost any faith in police and worse the system. If ever another drunk hits us or someone else or for any criminal act we witness? We tried and are done caring ,i Don't think we have the energy to even get involved. Perhaps God will let you dig up this memory when you're old and you don't reach up and smile . I didn't write this belittle anyone, I didn't write this for sympathy (can't erase what's happened), nor did I write this for review. I wrote this to state facts and the out of hand greed from something bigger than us everyday people. Question? When does the conscience dissappear? In school or after how easy it is to force outrageous fees? Can you control it to return on certain situation . Ve never had the chance to try. I hope you all don't think your schooling makes you a better person than others. I came in peace and I'll leave peacefully knowing I completed something I didn't deserve or was prepared for. - j cole

I have been working with this office for almost a year now, specifically with Megan Scafiddi. At the beginning, I didn't have any expectations as working with lawyers is all new to me. However, Megan really just blew it out of the water in terms of her care, patience, knowledge and attention to detail. Thank you both to Attorney Conor Stewartson and Paralegal Diane Barrera at Colorado Legal Defense Group for representing our daughter in her criminal defense case. My husband and I spoke to several Attorney firms to help us and after speaking with Diane and the Intake Attorney Cole Presnell, we decided to go with their firm. I can honestly say that Diane was key in helping us make the decision to use their firm. She was very understanding and genuinely cared, being a mother herself. She was available early on and even followed up to make sure we landed safely in CO that same evening to be there for our daughter. Conor was assigned to our case and I was advised although he was new with the firm he had an extensive background as a Criminal defense Attorney. Initially, I was concerned w/him being new to the firm but after speaking with him, doing a background check and reading up on him, he put those concerns to rest. There were times it was difficult to get a hold of Conor but my understanding was his contact phone was still being setup at the time, since he was new w/the firm. But he did return my call when I really needed him over the weekend on a late evening. Also, Diane was always available even on weekends (not normal or expected) and kept the communication going if Conor was not available due to being in court or working w/another client. Ultimately, the outcome of our case was in our daughter's favor and it was completely dismissed all due to the hard work of both Conor and Diane. Their skill set and ability to do what they do, fighting on our daughter's behalf produced the best outcome possible and we are so thankful to them both! The billing process early on was easy and in speaking w/Diane that was not even a concern at the time with what was going on. Which truly shows the caliber of the firm and their people as a whole of who they are and what they are about. We are thankful to both Conor and Diane and are truly blessed to have been represented by them, but as I mentioned to Diane, we pray we never need their services again! But would definitely recommend them and the firm if we ever needed legal help. Sandra
