We have worked with Darin a number of times over the last 10 years or so, both while he was with Charles Fife & Associates, and with his new firm, Mossinghof Mangnall. He has always been superb, both compassionate and knowledgeable. His past experience in the District Attorney's office has given him inside knowledge of the workings of the legal system. He has always kept us well-informed and has made very stressful situations much easier for us. He is willing to really fight for his clients, instead of merely accepting the District Attorney's charges at face value. He has always achieved much better results than we expected. He treats his clients as good people who have made mistakes rather than as criminals. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a legal problem in a heartbeat! Darin is an incredible lawyer. Not only can you tell he genuinely cares about you, but he really is adamant about fighting for your rights and knows all the laws and fine print very well, specifically when it comes to DUI’s, roadside tests, and everything in between. I was pulled over for speeding and had not been drinking. However, after going through several roadside tests and a tricky question/answer game I ended up being charged with a DUI and a misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance. This was during the pandemic and the process was slow, but he stayed involved and communicative throughout the entire process and was always available to answer my questions and help me. He was persistent with the DA and right before my motions date was able to finally get a plea bargain for reckless driving due to the fact that the DA could not prove I was under the influence by watching the bodycam video – just as he’d been trying to tell them the entire time. It was a lengthy process, but he stuck with it and I am so grateful for the outcome! Darin will have your back and fight for you to the end.

Working with Mr. Magnall was an absolute pleasure. While the situation was less than ideal, Darin consistently found a way to bring hope to the case and advised accordingly. Mr. Magnall and I spoke privately after each and every (virtual) court hearing in order for him to break down hat happened for me. Darin worked with me on setting up a payment schedule, gave me rides to and from court when feasible, treated me with respect, and friendship. I met his daughter and she sat with me in court while Darin did his thing with the DAs. Darin is brilliant in the courtroom, although we never went to trial. After months of hearings and delays the DA finally offered a deal. We jointly decided that it was too risky to go to trial with the deal being offered. I do still to this day wish I could have been witness to Darin ripping the arresting officer to shreds on the stand. Put your faith in Darin Magnall, he is the real deal. I just got out of court today for a DUI above .2. Darin made my life so much easier than I had expected this process to be. As a first time offender, and completely blind to the system and how the legal system works, Darin was a knowledgeable reference and did not waste my time. He went to all hearings, was timely, and never made me feel like I was a burden to his schedule or that he was not interested in my case. My fears of jail did not come to reality, as we went into a plea deal, Darin talked me up in a very professional manner to the judge, which ultimately lead to no Jail or In Home detention that is mandatory via Colorado DUI laws for people in my situation. Mr. Mangnall was with Fife, Mangnall, and Mossinghoff when we hired the firm to defend my son in a DUI case. Darin came to court to represent my son in a motions hearing before the trial. Five minutes before entering the courtroom (mind you, this was a motions hearing) ... his advise was for my son to plead guilty that day, and maybe the judge with go easy on him because he's taking responsibly. This... after many months of hearing from this firm that you "never just plead guilty, and give up your day in court". My son plead guilty that day, and I later confirmed my suspicions in a meeting with Mr. Fife, and Mr. Mangnall in their office... that Mr. Mangnall knew nothing about my son's case (we were mostly working with Mr. Fife), and didn't bother to educate himself on my son's case before arriving that day, so in turn... to save his own skin, because he was unprepared to represent my son that day in court... Mr. Mangnall told him to plead guilty. And watch out for the classic lawyer line "if it were my son, that's what I'd advise him to do". I fell for it. Mr. Mangnall's disingenuous advise robbed my son of his right to a defense, and he never got his day in court.
