I have worked 15 years with Santangelo Law Offices and know most of the staff. I have a couple dozen US Patents and many foreign patents. This is a first rate group. They assist with every aspect of patenting an idea. Early on they help sort out and clarify what is patentable. They do as much as you want or need through the granting of your patent. Their ability to write strong claims is extraordinary, resulting in strong issued patents. They also follow through with ongoing maintenance or other actions as needed.

In 8 years as a client of Luke Santangelo and David Kerr and staff they have helped me to build two high tech businesses. They are direct but personable and remarkably well versed in the energy; molecular and agricultural biotech industries. I highly recommended them!

I have worked with Santangelo Law Offices for over 5 years on more than a dozen patents and the professionalism, integrity, and knowledge displayed while working with them was beyond any expectations. I would not trust any other firm with my IP.

Back in 2011, I was sued by Righthaven, the now-defunct copyright enforcement law firm that brought shakedown copyright infringement lawsuits against small-time bloggers and mom-and-pop web operators. Their business model was predatory. They threatened defendants with the possibility of a $150,000 judgment and the forfeiture of their website's domain name. I had never been sued before and the whole thing scared the bejesus out of me. I didn't know what I was going to do. I looked into hiring legal counsel but most firms wanted between $5,000 to $10,000 in retainer fees. I began researching legal assistance, and contacted a number of law firms to inquire about pro bono legal aid, or possibly reduced-rate representation. Things weren't going well at first. But I kept researching. I'd read about a lawyer named David Kerr, who had helped an autistic blogger named Brian Hill defeat a Righthaven lawsuit. I contacted Mr. Kerr, an attorney with the Santangelo Law Offices. Mr. Kerr could not represent me pro bono, but he was able to give me legal advice, essentially guiding me through the process of representing myself in the case. I filed a response to Righthaven pro se, and by that time things had started going downhill for Righthaven, and my case, along with 33 others, was thrown out by U.S. District Court Judge John Kane in Denver. I haven't needed a copyright attorney lately, but if I did the first person I'd contact is David Kerr at Santangelo. The staff at the office was always courteous and professional. My calls were always returned when Mr. Kerr was unable to talk on the phone. I recommend the services of Santangelo Law Offices enthusiastically and with no reservations whatsoever.

After being threatened with a lawsuit by a copyright troll, it was extremely reassuring to be able to rely on David Kerr for assistance. With just a couple of letters, he quickly had the suit dropped, and I've never heard from the trolls again.

I can't imagine a better experience-- especially when dealing with being threatened with a scary lawsuit. They were calm, clear and professional. David Kerr was swift, understood the whole picture very quickly and most importantly, helped us get some bullies off of our back. I am so glad there are still lawyers like this out there! Highly recommended.

I gained more informational and clarity in one meeting with David Kerr at Santangelo Law Offices than I have ever experienced before. Their friendly service, knowledge, and expertise exceeded far beyond my expectations! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for help with intellectual property.

I worked with Santangelo Law offices on a small project. Without their help, I would not have been able to complete it without serious intellectual property problems. Attorney Dave Kerr walked me through the potential pitfalls and helped me to determine the best approach to avoiding them. Most importantly to me, I came away with an understanding of how to apply his advice in the future instead of having to ask the same questions every time I develop a product. I would not have pursued my idea without the support I received from Dave.

We've worked with Santangelo for nearly a decade on numerous patents. Thanks to Santangelo we've successfully navigated numerous intellectual property challenges. Senior council at several fortune 500 companies have scrutinized our patents as well and shared how impressed they were, you really can't ask much more than that.

I have worked with Nicole Ressue and Luke Santangelo for >10 years. I have the utmost respect for their professionalism, their creativity and their dedication to their customers. They are cognizant of budgetary constraints and help companies make decisions to leverage intellectual property protection while staying within a limited budget. The ability to draft patents that encompass the current technology and provide room for future growth and development is much appreciated. Moreover, they are just likeable people who make it enjoyable to navigate the IP process.
