Our 16-year-old son was facing some very serious felony charges after a motor vehicle crash claimed the life of his passenger. Our son and his passenger were best friends and had been since shortly after birth. The crash was a result of swerving to miss 2 deer. The Colorado State Patrol was quick to pick up the sword of "justice" and come at our son and our family with a head full of steam. I called several lawyers and honestly was not impressed, they seemed sympathetic to a short degree but primarily were focused on telling us what their cost would be. I called Scott's Office and Scott called me back quickly for my first consultation. I was blown away by Scott's kindness, advice, knowledge, and willingness to pull our family behind a shield and start returning some proverbial fire. When you're going through the darkest days of your life and it seems like the entire world is coming after you it's more than a breath of fresh air to cross paths with Scott. I remember one time during this entire process I was a bit nervous about something on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I called Scott's Office, and he called me back on a weekend to put my mind at ease........99.9% of lawyers don't do this. The day ultimately came when we went to court. Scott was able to negotiate the best deal possible for my son. My son no longer has to worry about being haunted by legal aspects any longer as Scott was able to swing a deferred judgment. Scott is a phenomenal lawyer and I appreciate it, but more importantly, Scott is an outstanding man!
