I am actually someone who has never written a bad review in my life, which shows how unsatisfied with Marie I am. I was referred by a friend who told me if Marie could not help me, she would not charge me. I met with Marie and without reading any of my paperwork (lease, operating agreement etc) prior to our meeting she met with me and then proceeded to talk mainly about the option of a lawsuit if it were to lead to that. In my situation, I knew that my partner would negotiate so it was a waist of time to discuss a lawsuit. After spending far too long focusing on the worst possible outcome, it seemed as the meeting was over and she was asking for $2k retainer on top of her $350 consultant fee. I was not very happy with her service, but paid the $350 fee but I did not sign anything about working with her. Later that day, I sent her an email saying my business partner is willing to negotiate and we are already figuring out the terms. I asked if I could pay her to draft up the final agreement. She told me she did not want to take my case due to a feeling that I could not afford her. She still took my $350 and did NOTHING for me. I believe her main goal is money and she will not care anything for you as an individual.

We had a great experience with Marie Drake. We hired Marie to help us get out of a timeshare. We didn’t think it was possible, but she did it. It also cost less than we expected. We definitely recommend Marie Drake—she’s terrific.
