My family highly recommend Mark Daly for your immigration case! He is very competent and he guides us with every step of our case. He answers immediately all questions and concerns, and advising us on the phone without charging extra. He is very sharp yet he can talk us and explain things so that we understand exactly what is going on with our case. He really looks out for his clients. Our case is very hard but Mark is very patient with us and he is always ready to fight for our rights. Choosing him as our attorney is one of our best decision. He will get you a great result in your case. We definitely will refer Mark to all our friends and family who needs help. My wife and I will never hesitate to use Mark again should the need arise. Thank you for all of your hard work!

I hired Mark after my husband was given a lifetime ban at his interview in Juarez, MX. I was lost with my two girls trying to figure out how to fix it and not sure if it could be. My previous lawyer kept saying he was going to do an appeal with the consulate but stopped answering my phone calls. The first cosultation Mark made me feel better. He guided me to real solutions and went big. So I hired Mark and he sent in the paperwork. About a month and a half later they changed the status from “refused” to “Administrative processing” and requested more information. After turning in the evidence about 2 weeks later the consulate issued my husbands visa! Mark turned a lifetime ban into an issued visa and my family will be forever grateful. He’s not your typical lawyer, he’s down to earth and he really listens to you. He will answer your calls and he talked me out of a bad mindset a couple times. Stop messing with these other lawyers that don’t care and go with Mark. The reviews he has are legitimate and for a reason!

Mr. Mark Daly is very vibrant, immensely patient, extremely friendly, caring, empathetic, a highly optimistic individual who possesses a huge amount of integrity. As an attorney, he is very competent, perspicacious, punctual, knowledgeable, self- reliant, articulate, and above all, an apt tactician who can resolve any complicated immigration issue with utmost efficacy. He listens intently to his clients and is very inquisitive to know the expectations and the interests of his client pertinent to the immigration issue. Moreover, Mr. Daly makes extensive research on immigration issues and formulates different strategies to generate a successful outcome for the cases that he handles. I have known Mr. Daly for the last six (6) years. I was introduced to him through my sister and my brother-in-law who achieved a great outcome with their immigration case handled by Mark. I met him for the first time when I was completely distraught and diffident, had just took divorce from a highly abusive marriage and befallen setbacks in immigration and family law cases due to the inadequacy of the previous attorneys who were handling them. However, during the initial talk itself I was absolutely convinced without a strand of doubt that my case was entrusted into the right hands. In his relentless pursuit of success for the clients, Mr. Daly doesn’t hesitate to go the extra miles for his clients. Realizing that I was too inexperienced and timid to make a police complaint, he personally accompanied me to the police station. During the progress of a case, Mr. Daly stands by his client every step providing precise and excellent guidance. Also, he makes himself available to his clients in the quickest manner irrespective of him staying in the United States or even away on vacation. He is highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a successful outcome for immigration issues no matter how complicated they could be.

Mark reviewed our immigration paperwork and advised us on how to improve our immigration packet. He was accommodating with our schedule, since we are 14 hours time zone difference from Colorado. My wife and I felt that Mark's serves were more than worth the cost. I would recommend Mark to anyone who is beginning the immigration process.

Ms. Kryda's thoroughness, communication, and professionalism is unsurpassed. She assisted me with a very very difficult and trying probate issue. She wove a very calming thread though the train wreck that I was thrown into and was very successful in bringing the matters to the best possible outcome. I would highly recommend Ms. Kryda.

Mr. Parrish was very responsive and engaged when we sought his counsel in the area of Family Law. We found him to be passionate about our welfare - not just our legal welfare, but also our personal welfare. He is easy to talk with, listens intently and was more interested in our outcome, than in the potential fees he would earn. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Golden, Colorado?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
