Thursday September 17, 2015 We received money from Social Security for the first time, yesterday. After becoming disabled in the spring of 2010, the last five and a half years have been... interesting. I write here to commend the services of the legal firm Kaplan-Morrell and specifically Britton Morrell for his and his staff's part in what ended as a "Fully Favorable" ruling from the Judge at our last hearing in July of this year. Not "unfavorable" or "partly favorable" or "mostly favorable" or anything of the sort. No - I am not a lawyer, but I do know what "Fully Favorable" means and I am convinced that Mr. Morrell's representation is responsible for the best possible outcome to our case after years of disappointment and struggle. There is much more to this story - so much to say that I will only add here that the circumstances that Mr. Morrell accepted our case were truly challenging at best. I met with him for the first time just before dismissing my previous counsel of nearly four years. This meeting occurred in late April of this year and he graciously took our case late in May after I asked the Judge in a letter if I could replace counsel at such a late date. He agreed, having had the experience of meeting previous counsel and myself during an earlier hearing. Mr. Morrell took the case with but two months before the final hearing date for our latest appeal. Frankly, I am amazed that he and his office were able to get all of the medical information alone together in such a short time, much less organize it and present it during that last July hearing. This is the short story and there is, of course, much more. I will gladly discuss the matter and fill in the gaps, if you need more to help you with your decision for representation. Mr. Morrell knows how to reach me and it is the least I can do in return for his help in during some of the most difficult circumstances we have yet faced. What I can say is this: If you are in need of representation for your Social Security case, I urge you to consult with Kaplan-Morrell. In a remarkably short time, they got the results we needed to get back to rebuilding a life! -----
