I had the pleasure of working with Lisa Frigo and Ian Shea while navigating through a child custody/parenting case. From the beginning they were both very professional and invested. They made me feel comfortable and at ease with a very personal and emotional matter. I always felt as if they were working towards a resolution and had my best interests at heart at all times. It was obvious that my case had been investigated thoroughly and that I had the undivided attention of my attorney. I would highly recommend the law firm of Heckenbach Suazo.

I was Darin Jensen's paralegal for a year and a half and it was a complete joy working for him. He is not only incredibly intelligent and well-trained, but he is sympathetic, compassionate, and above all, a perfectionist with each and every case that he takes on. He is also one of the most eloquent attorneys, both in his speaking as well as in his writing, that I have worked with and takes immense pride in every pleading that he presents to the Court. I was privileged to see how well he worked with his clients and fellow attorneys, but also how amazing of a teacher and leader he was for me as his paralegal. Darin is very detail-oriented and made sure that every task he gave me was clear in its direction; even if a particular task needed additional work, he always conveyed his feedback in such a way that never lacked respect. I would be honored to work for another attorney like Darin Jensen and would never hesitate to refer my own friends and family to him should they ever need legal services.

I cannot say enough about my experience with this firm and Ian Shea. I had been through the family court system prior to finding this group, with a lawyer who was completely unprepared. It made the entire thought of going through again completely overwhelming. My experience the second time through family court with Ian in my corner was completely different. He is extremely well versed in the law and it's interpretation. He genuinely had the best interest of my son in mind and he took time to answer my questions and guide me through the process and the system. I was of course nervous for the ruling, but with his thorough preparation, I knew we had put our best case forward. I also had the opportunity to working with Laurie Hurst; a thorough, strong, well versed attorney who remained sensitive and kind during an emotional time. I was able to trust in her and her abilities completely. She did not disappoint. It isn't just Ian and Laurie, the staff (including reception and paralegal) that I have worked with over the years have been so helpful; they are willing to go above and beyond with communication, answering questions, returning calls and emails as quickly as possible. In a judicial system where it seams that nothing moves quickly it is refreshing to have hired hard working people that do. Legal representation is an investment. I know I received good value for the money spent and when/if the need arises, I will be back.

Ian is an extremely talented lawyer who has a solid knowledge base and practices with the highest standards in regard to moral and ethical dilemmas. He is very honest when it comes to the "reality" of a case and will not lead you down the wrong path. He is quick to communicate when things are moving fast and can really break things down into lay person terms to help you understand everything that is going on. Ian was able to litigate a contempt charge against my ex-husband, without difficulty, and also able to mediate a parenting plan that gave me everything I wanted and more. I would recommend, and have recommended, him to many people I know who are going through similar situations.

Ian took great care of me during one of the most stressful times of my life. I was working to gain more parenting time with my daughter and Ian was there to answer all of my questions and work with me to develop a case. Needless to say, with a significant amount of expertise in my corner, I was able to gain more parenting time. I find Ian to be honest and up front which I need from time-to-time. I am glad that I chose Ian for my legal counsel.

I find everything to do with custody issues completely overwhelming and stressful. Ian helped from the beginning. He was thorough, and kind, honest and forthright. He didn't always say things i wanted to hear but he always managed to say them in a way that made them seem so much more reasonable and understandable. I still am in shock and awe at how prepared he was for trial. He gave me opportunity to pick my battles and was always willing to take the time to explain possible outcomes. He made an extremely emotional experience so much more manageable. I am grateful for all he did for us.
