Yesterday (8/18/23) I called Shafner Law, spoke briefly with a representative from the firm and summarized the circumstances that led to my call. I missed his call, listened to his voicemail, and learned he was on a brief break in a trial and took that opportunity to touch base with me. I was impressed. A couple of hours later, we spoke. I described my reason for calling and we talked for another 50 minutes or so, during which time he asked me probing questions concerning the incident I had called about, informed me in detail about the procedures I would have to follow to bring a case, and gave me a very specific "homework assignment". Throughout this entire conversation, I felt as if I were talking to an old (wise) friend, rather than an attorney I had just met on the phone. I have had rather limited professional experiences with attorneys over the course of my adult life (I am 77), and have never had an experience with any of them that approximates what I experienced with Alan. It was clear that he sensed the importance of my case to me, conveyed that to me implicitly as we spoke, and, in so doing, made me feel as if I could not be in better hands if he takes my case. If Alan decides to do so, I would retain him in a heartbeat. I cannot imagine having a better advocate.
