I'm really surprised to hear a couple negative reviews about Cynthia. I 100% appreciated her no-nonsense approach because she didn't waste my time or money. The first time I called her, she could have encouraged me to come in and pay a consult fee, but instead she made it clear there were problems with my case - thank you!! That's not what many attorneys do! Maybe it wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but that doesn’t make her wrong! It seems like one of the negative reviewers expected advice over the phone, which she can't provide, so I think the negative comments are a bit unfair, and they could affect her livelihood. Anyway, my experience was that while Cynthia could be abrupt and even blunt, she gets to the point (hey, she's a New Yorker!), and upon going farther down the road with her I was able to see the huge amount of compassion she has for her clients, and I'd challenge anyone to find another attorney who knows more about the ins and outs of employment law! I'd suggest to anyone who didn't like her approach, to think about the money she probably saved you by being honest with you about your case. At the end of the day, I find it very telling that there are no negative reviews from anyone who actually became her client! So, if you’re thinking about hiring Cynthia, I’d take any negative reviews that are based on a single phone encounter with a grain of salt, and give more credit to the reviews from her actual clients – which are ALL positive. And she’s had a LOT of clients!

Cynthia is like a cross between a social worker and attorney. She helped me with a previous employer and all worked out in my favor. I would recommend her services to friends and family.

I wish I could speak on how well this Firm does but I’ve called 3 times and can’t get anyone to return my phone calls. If they don’t care to take on new clients or simply returning calls I definitely wouldn’t trust them representing my case. Total Bummer

Absolutely Excellent!

A slightly negative experience for me. First time dealing with a lawyer working on my behalf and you can definitely tell she is jaded in dealing with people. Unfriendly "let's get this over with" demeanor and slightly condescending way of speaking to me left me feeling like she was an enemy and not someone helpful. However she is knowledgeable. I gave her a few things that was going on and she gave me some information that was slightly useful but before I could talk more she pushed me to schedule a consultation with her which would've cost me quite a bit of money. Which I understand, no shame in that at all as this is a business first. But if I had the money and the pick of lawyers for a rock solid case that would be beneficial for both of us, I would absolutely skip this one for the way I felt during the conversation. Felt like I was dealing with an impatient HR person at a company who was annoyed I had a problem. I will be advising anyone that I can to only use this persons services as a very last resort.

Prior to working with Eric Steele, I wasn't sure what I could expect from a lawyer or a law firm. The expertise and clear communication Eric offers is excellent and exceeded my expectations. He made great use of our time and made quick work of the issues I brought to him. I felt super well supported and am glad to know that I can depend on him and this firm.
