I was involved in an automobile accident in 2007 and was thrust into the legal system. The defense attorney decided to take my case to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals after losing at trial. Mr. Hemmat had the greatest belief in his team to task them with appearing before this court. Jason never once trivialized my concerns or questions. I have the utmost respect for Jason and I would not hesitate one bit in recommending him to anyone in need of a personal injury attorney. In fact, I would recommend anyone to the Anderson Hemmat McQuinn law firm. I have been treated with nothing but respect and concern for my well being and the well being of my case.

I was hurt at work and I took my case to a different law firm which held on to it for almost two years. That is three weeks before the statute of limitations was to run out. This other law firm sent me a letter letting me know that they didn't think that this was a big enough case for them to make enough money on. The letter also said I could file for extended time on the case at my county court house. Well not knowing anything about the law and not having the money to file I started to look for a new firm. I called Anderson Hemmat & McQuinn. I was lucky enough to talk to Jason Alleman we set up a time and went to see him. He told us right up front we did not have a lot of time to get this thing going. He ask the name of the company and to our surprise there were several with the same name. He said I will send them all a letter just to make sure we get the right one. To make a long story short Jason was very professional and honest. He told me everything that was going on and we got no surprises. Every time I called if he didn't have an answer he would find it out for me (and I called a lot). He never made me feel like I was bothering him and was always very pleasant. He made me feel like he cared about what happen to me and wanted to help. Not only did Jason help me but I also received letters from Chad Hemmat explaining what was going on. Kim my legal assistant was also very helpful. She was right on top of the case with information whenever I would call she was the most pleasant person to talk to! I feel that Anderson Hemmat & McQuinn would be the place I would go for any personal injury legal advice and would recommend this firm to all my friends and family. Jason once again thank you and the firm so much for all your help. I felt you were very professional, honest and a very caring person. Too bad for the other law firm that said it was too small of a case. We did great!!!

After me and my fiancé were struck by a distracted driver, we were both rushed to the ER at Denver Health. My fiancées injuries were more serious than my injuries, she had to have immediate spinal surgery where here C5 had to be removed and replaced with a metal bracket. I recieved a hedial fracture in my elbow. I called Anderson Hemmat & McQuinns law office in seek of legal representation. They than put Jason Alleman on the phone to speak with me. I explained our situation with the accident and our injuries that we occurred and he sounded so concerned about our well being and how unfortunate our situation was , etc. Long story short, I signed his contract and I hired Jason Alleman thinking I was hiring Anderson Hemmat himself, which was the first lie told to me by Jason. Than I myself did 90% of my own research about the other driver, his insurance, the police report, all information from everyone involved in the accident, etc. Which I than gave to Jason and his law office, (Anderson Hemmat & McQuinn) where I was insured that they would take care of me and represent me with the upmost professionalism and respect that I deserve, that was the second lie told to me! I continued to try and contact Jason about my case, he pushed me off to some paralegal student who worked for the law office, she was absolutely no help what so ever, probably because she was on her way out of that company. After weeks of no replys to phone calls and emails I recieved a letter stating that Jason Alleman and his law office will no longer be representing me in this case and that my situation did not meet there criteria, I believe those were the exact words used, to represent someone like me!!! What!? Yea I know right! Not only that, there was a $386.52 bill attached to the letter stating that they were dropping me as a client!! Not once did Jason Alleman have to dignity or common decency to contact me and let me know that due to the other drivers lack of coverage. I had to find out through this letter! It simply was not enough money for this greedy law office, therefore they dropped me!! Again... Run don't walk!!!

Kristin Weaver and Sarah Pisk were lifesavers for my family and I in the custody battle with my ex. They really took the time to understand my unique situation, and advocated for my children and I throughout my entire time working with them. I really appreciate their understanding and diligence throughout a tricky and stressful case. Would highly recommend them!

Spoke with Todd who understood my case immediately and was fantastic!! Met with Laurie Joe and she handled my difficult case with precision!! Listened and explained every action and knew what to do with professionalism and experience!! She made the other parties attorney look foolish and lazy and got the results I wanted. Hopefully won’t need them again-but if I do, I know who I am calling!!

This immigration service is 5-stars. Erin Williams runs this business. She and her staff are great. The location (near Orchard and Quebec) is easy to access but it can be a little difficult to find. It's part of a larger complex that has several different offices (hers is building 4) so give yourself a few extra minutes to find it the first time. I had a lot of questions about the U.S. immigration process especially how to best maximize the probability of getting a visa for my friend who lives in China. I went with an initial 1-hr consult and got good solid answers for all of my questions. Erin really know the business. Afterwards, when talking with my friend, a few other questions came up and I arranged a follow-up "phone" consult with her that pretty much finished up every question I have. When the time comes, and my friend and I hopefully marry, I will obviously contact Erin again for all the details regarding spousal and/or fiancee visas. Finally, you won't find a friendlier person or staff to work with.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Greenwood Village, Colorado?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
