Hannah did an amazing job. She was easy to work with and made the whole process tolerable. She was very clear and professional, while still making me feel comfortable. I hired her late in the process since my first counsel was not doing their job. She jumped right in and helped me feel so much better. We ended up in trial and she was amazing. She put the opposing counsel on their heals and we got the best outcome possible. She was a shark in the courtroom. Calm, cool and collected but definitely knew what she was doing. Couldn't have asked for a better layer.

Ms. Westmont was very supportive and understanding during a difficult time in my life, but at the same time efficient and effective in her representation. She was firm with her negotiations and willing to try the case, although successfully negotiated a favorable settlement so that trial was not necessary. I would definitely recommend her to friends and colleagues.

Hannah was easy to talk to every step of the way. She was easy to work with and attentive, making being out of state less of a challenge and concern.

Hannah has helped me tremendously over the last year. She even showed up to backfill for her coworker and was a pro. She was respectful and put both the judge and the opposing counsel in their place. I have been put through the ringer this last year and Hannah has been an amazing help.

Hannah and her whole firm has done their best to keep my family on track through a difficult post divorce. These issues are so difficult because the law isn't always the best way to deal with them and Hannah is skilled in dealing with high conflict individuals and getting the best possible outcome. We are ongoing, but things have been so much better than without her. I'm posting anonymously only because things are ongoing.

Being a self-employed, small business owner, I understand the tremendous impact that a negative review can have and I do not take my choice to do so lightly. In my business, I support women in their empowerment, in finding their voices, and in living from a place of integrity and truth. I have been so traumatized by the experience that I had under Ms. Shaw’s guidance, that I have been paralyzed in my ability to articulate myself. I am at the point where remaining silent over the massive injustice that occurred in Ms. Shaw’s hands must be spoken with the intention of protecting any further mothers/women from enduring what I have as a result. My work with Ms. Shaw began two years ago and the traumatic impact that it has had on both myself and my son still reverberates in us. The unreal unfolding that occurred upon my hiring her -- culminating with a hideous court scene is a long story that I will not be able to go into great detail here, however I am happy to share with anyone who would benefit from that knowledge. I hired Ms. Shaw to help me file an order to get the child support that I needed due to many years of me having primary custody of my son with the courts. She misadvised me from the beginning, convincing me to essentially lie and manipulate my son’s dad to sign something that later came around in the courtroom and added fuel to the already blazing fire. Throughout the process she continuously assured me that not only was she “on it” but that this case was a guarantee – a no brainer, etc. I trusted her word. As a result of Ms. Shaw’s lack of professionalism, preparation, care, organization, and seriousness I was brutally attacked – I was humiliated, dishonored, assailed, and degraded. I lost custody of my child, I lost child support and I now have a court order stating: “It is clear that the mother has never put her son’s needs ahead of her own, but the father has”. This unbelievable statement couldn’t be further from the truth. The courtroom scene and outcome has had lasting traumatic impact on myself and on my son. Ms. Shaw was hired to protect, advise, defend, and represent me – none of which she did. I cannot speak enough words in caution of hiring Ms. Shaw as your legal representation. She has done a tremendous disservice to myself, my child, and my family and the rippling traumatic effects are still being felt on many levels. I cannot emphasize enough to seek alternative counsel in any matter regarding divorce, abuse, child custody, and child support.

Am I spelling the words "INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL" correctly. Nothing else describes my experience with this firm. I retained Hannah Westmont for case and plopped down $4,500 as a retainer (no "thank you" from the staff by-the-way). just, "Here" as a receipt was thrust in front of me. Things went down hill very fast. I was asked to sign and notarize a financial statement with scribbles, hand written notes, scratch out marks and incorrect math for submission to the court. As if to absolutely prove their lack of professionalism I was subsequently charged for them to read my e-mails alerting them to the error and redo the financial statement. Three weeks later, they are refusing to refund any portion of my retainer after I specifically requested they do so. USE THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR PERIL!!!!
